Hey everyone,

We just got a new AC unit installed today and the only thing i don't like about it is that it won't work with my Nest Gen 2 thermostat.  I was thinking of either selling it (only had it a few months and still have all the packaging and such) or keeping it in case it becomes compatible with my new system.

If there are any HVAC guys on here, I got a Lennox XC25 and matching furnace.  It is pretty much a marvel of technology in and of itself.  So much so that it is more complex of a system then Nest can handle.

Thoughts?  I should be able to get around 225.00 for the Nest (and if there is interest just PM me)

I have been a Nest user for quite a while now (since Gen 1 was available) and was really getting into their developer set to take advantage of their IOT (Internet of Things) mentality on saving energy and making my lifestyle even better.  If you have interest in this stuff, you should check it out athttps://nest.com/works-with-nest/

cheers.  Bryan.

I used a Honeywell VisionPro 8000 to replace the original thermostat on my heat pump.  No where near as smart as the Nest, but quite programmable.  I'm just not convinced when it comes to the Internet of Things for security reasons.

I'm still using the Honeywell Roundy T-stats on my 4 zone system. My wife is the "programable" feature.
