never seen a workshop quite like this one

was looking at info on building a torsion box and came upon this guy's workshop.
he also built the most awesome looking tool box i think i have ever seen.
i have never seen another workshop this clean in my life, i almost want to live in there it's so very cool.
i reckon he must have cleaning fairies that clear up as he's working!

totally awesome in my opinion, i feel embarrassed that my garage has a concrete floor now...

maybe so, it may also have been shot before he ever did any work in it too, no scratches on the immaculate floor for instance or everything looking like it's just out the showroom. none the less i thought it rather fantastic. even with the boat in there, i am sure i could put a bed in somewhere with a nice view of the water...

I know of a fellow in Connecticut who has a shop that is VERY similar looking to this one. He, too, builds boats and his shop is in immaculate condition as well. Only downside is his is surrounded by trees and land, not a waterside view.

I think he just rolls the tools outside and uses them with or without dust collection. My shop doesn’t look nice like his but thats what I have to do with all my large tools. I do connect dust collection to the tools outside. Only thing I can think of is that some of those beams have dust hoses hidden in them. I saw a blue pneumatic hose behind a tool on the wall so there could be a huge air compressor and dust collector hidden somewhere.

Yep, the hand power tools are there but you have to be quick to spot them. They're in a glass fronted cabinet which you get a glimpse of when the shot pans around the room about half way through. Didnt see any green, lots of yellow.

I painted ours with 2-pac in blue, but other colours work well too...

If I showed my space people would comment that it was a sty, and I read that his is too clean.
It is a nice space, and his boats are nice.
I would squat there if I could, and if I could afford to.

i did a little research on this guy, it's no wonder his space is immaculate as he's a surgeon by profession and this is his spare time hang out.
as a cross over it would make sense that his work space/operating theatre is completely spotless.
i think i admire him a touch more now.
perhaps the inside of our work spaces are a reflection of the inside of or minds (cue intro to scooby doo).

ooh, sounds cool. not sure they sell that in the uk, however will keep my eyes peeled. it's certainly a fine toolbox and worthy of a peek. i presume he jointed by hand?

[member=62762]bump[/member] He said this is the second one he built and the first was out of solid wood and mahogany plywood panels.  In one of the pictures you can see the dovetails and they look machine made.
