New 2200 router purchase....AWESOME!!!!

How did you distort it into egg shape? Also is it the lower or upper part you distorted on yours? I removed the upper on mine and filled a little bit of plastic off the tab which helped.

The part which suppose to drop once you press the green lever but it never does it just stays stuck.  So the upper part

I found when it got stuck if I pushed the two sides of the ring adjacent to the locking lever it would drop down.  So I thought if I maybe just distort the ring a tiny bit into like a egg shape the side would be permanently push in, in theory.

Does anyone know if the guide rail adaptor is the same for the 1400 and the 2200? Trying to think what I would actually need from the accessories kit if I kept my 1400. I believe the copying rings are the same fit.

Ta in advance.

I got the 1/4" collet (6.something mm) for my 2200 so when I have it in the CMS I dont have to switch routers to use a 1/4(6.something mm ) bit

Hey Wuffles the rails are different as I have both routers and I too was hoping they were the same so you use it for mortising as I saw a thread here where someone uses 2 fences either side of say a door to mortise the locks etc. But when I got the big Kahuna home and checked it out...bummer no such luck.

Oh well that's life......

Yes, I was wondering if it would compliment the 1400 but perhaps not, more replace for me. I'd steal the 8mm collet I have before shifting on the 1400.
