Coming in August 2019 to the U.S. are the new CT MINI I and CT MIDI I HEPA Dust Extractors with integrated Bluetooth connectivity.

Festool USA has indicated that they will run out of stock of the current CT MINI and MIDI models before August. So, if you need one before then, order now to guarantee availability and save $50 versus the new Bluetooth models.

Pre-order CT MINI I and CT MIDI I Now!

Here's what's new with the CT MINI I and CT MIDI I:

  • New! Integrated Bluetooth Module for Remote Wireless Activation*
  • New! Touch panel controls for suction level, power on/off, Bluetooth pairing
  • New! Manual filter cleaning mechanism
  • New! Hose storage compartment with flat top
  • New! Easy to change filter

* Bluetooth activation requires optional Bluetooth remote control (202098) or Bluetooth-enabled batteries, sold separately.

Just saw the email.  Will be placing an order as soon as this current job is done and paid

Just a note that Festool USA is stating that the new CT MINI I and MIDI I are compatible with the CT Cyclone.  [wink]

[member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] any word on whether or not there will be a bluetooth upgrade for older mini/midi models? I'm not really interested in the full blown digital control but having a bluetooth start on my midi would be nice.

[member=63227]Reed Hoyer[/member], thanks for the question. No official word from Festool, but in my opinion based on my technical understanding of the CT current and prior models of CT MINI/MIDI, there's no way to easily provide an upgrade path to Bluetooth. A bit of a bummer, but there's no module bay on those vacs like the larger vacs.

[member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] that makes sense, thanks! I upgraded my CT36 but I guess I'll just have to slum it with the manual knob on my midi. Can't have it all, can we? Thanks again and have a great night.

I just bought a CT-SYS, so too late for me, but a BT version would be nice. And if variable suction is not possible, a Hi/Lo suction version would be great too for those times when you need less than full power.

Just to add to what Shane said, there are also no pin-outs on the circuit board.

Is there functionality to lower the suction via remote?
9 times out of 10 I forget to lower/raise suction when switching to/from sanders.

[member=65755]jarbroen[/member], no, it's simply used to turn the vac on and off. There are no adjustments that can be made from the remote.
