NEW Compact Router Table Extension for MFT/3 Multifunction Table & More!

My first router table was a sheet of 3/4” plywood resting on two saw horses.  No router plate either.  I simply thinned out the ply where the router would fit and screwed it diretly to the ply.  No need to shim the router plate to make it level with the board.

And two C-Clamps and a piece of lumber was my fence.

Access was so easy that there was no need for a router lift.    I should probably make that again.  It was so much easier than what I have now.

[member=61691]TSO_Products[/member] A+ and beyond well-done. Will be super handy in the shop and on-site.

This looks very good, and understand the "compact routers" limitation. The price is also pretty good for a whole package.

That said, any reason why the Festool compact router series - the OF 900/1010 - are not supported?

The miter slot end is blocked by the MFT making it impossible to use miter gauge. I get the outfeed function of the MFT, but would be nice to have a rotatable top. I.e. a support frame with square top easy to detach (thumb screws or toggle latch) and rotate 90 deg.

In this situation, I'm assuming the t-track is intended for mounting featherboards.

If you need to use a miter gauge, there's nothing stopping you from routing a matching groove in your MFT top to accept the miter gauge. For myself, I prefer the Aigner Contermax for counter-profile/tenoning work:https://www.felder-group.com/en-us/...g-device-for-counter-profile-shaping-sp125588

The Contermax is interesting [member=2726]Tom Gensmer[/member]. Is the sacrificial board secured to the sled somehow?

Sure, there is a workaround for anything, but a built-in function is better.

Hi Michael,

The wood on the side of the Contermax is semi-permanently installed with screws. The sacrificial board on the underside of the Contermax is supplied by the user, and is to match the thickness of the material being processed.

I've been using the Contermax for several years now, I really like it. You can see it in use from 5:30-5:50 in this video:=PLKWugaamGsnJ6z3vahFkNIk5cgq4CRb5J&index=5

I know it’s early in release, but any thoughts of making one to match the Dashboard profile??
