I'm not a model train person whatsoever, but that's pretty cool.I have 2 very specific needs for a CT SYS, vacuuming the AC condenser coils outside to remove the "cotton" from nearby cotton wood trees and vacuuming train tracks that run along at the 8 ft level for LGB garden trains. Both tasks need to be done at least twice each year and using the Miele canister vac with a 5' hose is just not very convenient or easy. My present options are to drag up CT's from the basement or drag in CT's from the garage.
Actually, the CTC SYS would work well if the run-time was longer than 14 minutes.

My use cases are mostly remote work but beyond the need for some small clean up tasks. In almost all the cases I would need more runtime. With the current runtime I would need multiple batteries and/or be charging all the time. Both of which to me defeat the convenience of battery powered tools.

I agree 100%...when you have to drag around a 12# Energy Set just to use a vacuum for longer than 15 minutes, the cordless advantage disappears. Besides, you still need to have mains power available or the vac only works for 14 minutes.

And that's exactly why every single competitor has tabless batteries for a few years now and we are still waiting for Festool to release them. Although they have recently said they are working on it but don't have any specifics yet.

Until anything actually hits the shores in North America, there is no guarantee which of the new tools will be coming here and when.

Not to mention they'll be probably just about double the cost for us. ;-(
