New CT Midi

Just today bought my 2nd Midi dust extractor.  Was tired of switching the hose and cords back and forth. My 1st Midi is probably 8-9 yrs old. Still working great. Fired up the new one today.  Somethings i noticed that were different were the hose was a little bit of a bigger dia and a little stiffer. The end on the hose was a little different. Fit the tools tighter. They did away with the 20A pigtail that turns the cord into a 15A male plug. The most noticeable thing was the motor seemed to be a lot more loud! I mean I noticed it as soon as I turned it on. Anybody know if the motor is a different one than what they used to be?  All and all glad I got a 2nd one!!! Needed two for a long time!!

I believe they upgraded the motor to be equivalent across the line a few years ago.  Only difference now is capacity.  So you could be hearing the higher CFM motor as the difference.
