Got my new CXS Li 2.6 as well!
Here are some pictures of the latest new CXS/TXS 10.8V-2.6 Ah batteries.
These are really tiny compared to the BPC 12-1.3 Ah battery and have twice the capacity of the BPC 12!
They look like "My First Festool".

Yes they do and they fit the old CXS as well.
On the CXS the front part stays empty.
Maybe you can use it as storage for bits and drills.
Although the inside is partly magnetic because of the bit storage on the front of the handle.

I am really hoping that comes to the other side of the pond soon. I really love my CXS and it is by far my favorite drill. I'd love the extra run time to boot. Thanks!

No kidding. Plus the battery guage and better standing platform is exciting too. Oh and the larger chuck.

Just ordered mine CXS 2.6, I was waffling about getting the older version hoping that this new higher capacity would arrive. So it's in my greedy little hands by Friday, I have to mount a bunch of smoke detectors and wanted to spare my shoulders so I do have an immediate  need and a good reason for getting it and will be using when I need to do assembly work as the PDC 18 is a little big for that kind of job..

Thanks Festool!

CXS & PDC is a terrific combo. Extra great that they can share some of the specialised chucks, like the depth stop chuck and the socket adapter.

I remember seeing this information about the depth stop chuck and the socket adapter.. I think it would be a great addition, I was close to getting it  now too, but because of budget constraints I decided to just get the drill and some CT midi selfclean bags, when I bought the PDC I went all out and almost bought the complete line of centrotec bit sets as can be seen in my signature, but the socket adapter would be sweet, I'd also need to by a 3/8 socket set which isn't that common here in denmark so I guess that was one thing I'll need to get sorted at the same time for making the most of the adaptor..The Depth Stop chuck I'll get when I need to do some drywall work..It will be great to be able use it with either the PDC or the CXS.. Festool system just works better ....cause ti fits together...
