New Domino loose part

I received my Domino 500 last week and just started using it to assemble a bookcase.  So far, I really like it.

However, I have one loose part that keeps falling off.  I have attached a photo with the part on and a photo with the part off.  The part number for this piece is 466094.  The part looks fine and the metal part it attaches to looks the same as the other side.  I ordered this online as I do not live near a store and have no desire to return it for such a little thing, especially since I can't part with it now that I know how well it works.

I am not sure if I should try to glue it on, ask for a new part and see if it stays on or try something different.

Thanks for your suggestions.

It's a relatively common problem- in fact there was a thread on this only the other day. It just prevents the fence from being lifted off. Cosmetic. Don't glue it on or worry about it.

I had the same happen to me two days ago, same side as shown in picture. I was wondering the same. Nice when only the simple things go wrong.

You could also contact Festool service (# in sig). First year warranty covers shipping both ways.

Just glue it on with some E6000 glue. It will behave itself. Also if need be it can pulled off with no damage to the offending part. Mine started doing it after about eight months of use. After doing the E6000 adhesive trick no further problems.

If you do not fancy the glue option why not try a little ptfe tape the white thin tape that plumbers use it has no glue on it a few turns of that might work well.

It only takes a drop or two of the E6000 adhesive. You will never even know it is there.

The most important thing to notice when he will fall and fall!
I'm about 15 minutes to crawl across the floor until I found this wedge  [big grin]
and also a weak right ..

Well, according to Ken Nagrod, the part makes your Domino look superior. So, you better glue it on or someone might accuse you of buying shoddy tools.   ::)

It just slides into the dovetail way, but there is a locking tab on the front to keep it there. Yours does not appear to be damaged, so it might simply be a case of not sliding it in far enough. I would not recommend gluing it in place because you may need to remove it at some time in the future. If yours is damaged and won't stay in place, simply call customer service and get a replacement part.

I had the same problem a couple of days ago.  Thanks to everyone for the suggestions on how to fix it.
