The Dutch website with the latest 2010 Festools is in the air again.
Make your wishes for the future.
At least in the USA you will have to wait until when?
But the prices in $'s are much better then overhere.

Look at Festool 2010

So what is the difference in equipment or features for the corded Carvex versions adding 200 euros to the cost?

The corded Carvex SET version at 562 euros comes with an extra accessoiresystainer (picture) which alone costs 231 euro.
So the corded PLUS version costs 366 euros. that's 196 euros difference. So the SET version is 35 euros cheaper then the parts alone.
There is also a battery version as SET at 661 euros and 465 as PLUS version.

Yes, they're set versions, and come with an extra accessory-systainer, (with the bases and a circle cutting attachment)

I got the springnovelties folder by snailmail today,
(also downloadable from festool Belgium here,
But on the Dutch festool site they still have a countdown-teaser-puzzle-thing that says available starting May. link

Oops, I just realised it was Wednesday already... there WAS a festool demonstration at one of the dealers I buy my tools at today... I missed it... :(

I don't think I'm going to get the carvex immediately when it's available, but the CTL26 bundled with the hose with the internal plugit looks tempting...

Well - - sheesh. Uncle Bob better get these coming - AND SOON!!!!
I'm sure that Uncle Bob would love to do so.  [poke]  But, as good as he is, I don't think that he is that good.

Maybe he can fly over with no luggage and come back with a bunch of carry on systainers? [big grin]

No, unfortunately they are not.  But you can use your old style batteries on the new drill.
