New products coming April 2019, but you can pre-order them now on our website. I know that many of you have wanted an extension for your MFT/3. Well, the extension table for the MW 1000 is the same height and connects to the MFT/3 and CMS!

Any questions? Post them here!

Below is a list of the new items.

NEW Festool April 2019 - Shop Now!

Check out the short video from Festool on the new MW 1000.

Or, the more in-depth video from the New Brit Workshop's Mr. [member=11196]Peter Parfitt[/member] with his usual great commentary.

Ok, FOG... it's unusually quiet. No one has anything to ask? No comments?  [blink]

I'll bite, Shane.  How much does the extension table (203457) for the MW1000 weigh?

[member=13462]live4ever[/member], it's 26.84 lbs.

Any word on the new Kapex release???

[member=65751]parrish74[/member], what ya see is what ya get. This is all that was announced by Festool for April release. No word on  the Kapex KS 120 REB.

Well, there isn't anything there.  The closest thing to a thing is that extension table, dunno, just buy a MFT/3,  for more room.  Saw it in half and make 2 extensions if needed for same price each.

I suppose this means the Kapex accessories will work with a new Kapex, one would hope anyway.

[member=68063]DeformedTree[/member], the Kapex accessories are for the UG extensions, not the saw itself. But, yes, it looks like all existing Kapex accessories work with the current saw as well as the yet-to-make-its-way-to-the-US REB version.

Hey Shane, what’s new about the jig saw blades?

Thanks for the questions, [member=44099]Cheese[/member]. I sort of glossed over the blades, so here's some more detail.

- There's a new 25-pack of blades with 5/ea of the most popular wood blades (204275)
- There are new fine cut blades, include a reversed tooth down-cut blade (204256, 204257, 204259)
- There are new straight cut blades with Japanese-style teeth (204260-204264)
- A new fine tooth blade for curved cuts and scrolling (204267)
- A sort of neat idea on a blade is the scrolling blade with teeth on the backside of the blade that act like a rasp to clean the kerf as you turn (204266)
- Some new blades for plastics, acrylics, etc. (204268, 204269)
- The new metal blades are more universal now for all non-ferrous metal applications (204270, 204271)

If you have specific questions, let me know.

Sure...just when I thought my bank account was safe!!  OOPS, that's right I don't have a bank account...but I have a fortune in tools already.

Thanks for the info Shane...I’ll do a little research with the info you gave me and I’ll probably have more questions. That scrolling blade certainly sounds interesting. Also the plastic blades are of interest.

I should have specified that the 204269 jigsaw blade is a great blade for laminate flooring.  [wink]

Shane - any updates on a release date for new impact & drill drivers?

[member=42863]SouthRider[/member], what you see in this thread is everything that's been shared from Festool USA at this time. We will not know about any other new products coming to the US until 3-4 months ahead of their launch. But, based on history, I wouldn't expect anything else in the near future.

Hey Shane, just went through the blades. The ones that caught my eye are:

Downcut blade for wood...204259
Japanese style tooth blade...204260
Scrolling blade with teeth on the backside...204266
Plastic blade...204268
Laminate blade...204269

Has Festool released a new jigsaw blade chart that incorporates these new blades? The Festool chart I have is circa 2011.

As a heads-up, I noticed that every blade on your web site in the description it says "Ideal for straight cuts in wood". This includes metal, plastic & scrolling blades. That may lead to some confusion...just an observation.  [smile]

I for one am excited about the new crown stops. I've always hated the fact that the old stops couldn't be used with the extension wings.

Not bad. It only took them 10 years.

That's odd - a Roadshow staff member told me in the Fall that we'd see an impact being sold as a combo with a drill this spring. Must have had some type of problem getting it ready.

They look like they would be easy to make out of some scraps.  Or am I missing something?
