Coming to a doorstep near you on May 1st, 2016 are the new Festool CT-SYS HEPA Dust Extractor in a Systainer footprint, priced at $375. I think this is going to not only be a great entry-level option for those new to Festool, but also a great additional vac for folks to take on the jobsite. Strap it to your Systainer stack or SYS-Roll and off you go!

Also, the new SYS-Combi SYS 2, SYS-Combi SYS 3, as well as the new Sortainer TL (T-LOC) SYS 4, from $140-155.

You can pre-order them all now for shipment on 5/1. As always... Your card will not be billed until it ships, free shipping, and no sales tax collected outside NY/VA.

Not only that, but you can also enter to win the new CT-SYS in our sweepstakes! So, good luck to all!

No, no price increase. But, yes, you should order now!  [tongue]

Also, a reminder that the CT-SYS qualifies for the 10% off when you package it with a tool.  [wink]

Very cool...and priced right.  I love my Midi for my hobbyist shop but I could see how someone in the trades could really use this.

Curious with you guys that will be ordering this, from us or another dealer (traitors!  ;D)  --- will this be a second vac for you or your primary? And, will you be using on the jobsite or in your shop?

Also, feel free to post any questions you have right here.

Ok.  I have questions.  What's the suction compare to the other vacs?  Is there variable speed?  If not, what effect will that have on sanding performance?  Does it have auto triggering?  Basically, since I work out of a tiny 8x10 shop space, this would be the ideal only vac for me as I could also take it with me- but only if it isn't a performance compromise.  I can deal with the low capacity bag- is that the only functional difference between it and the other vacs?

[member=3078]Dane[/member],

Suction difference: 106 CFM (CT-SYS) vs. 130 CFM (MINI/MIDI) vs. 137 CFM (26/36/48)

No variable speed, but with the lower CFM that shouldn't be an issue with the smaller sanders. This is targeted at painters and installers, so I'm sure consideration was given to using with sanders. I'm sure [member=57769]TylerC[/member] can weigh in and verify.

Yes, it is tool triggered, like all Festool CTs.

Functionality-wise, the same as all the vacs with the exception of variable speed, I believe. Plus, it has a blower feature!

I have been targeting my wife on giving her the excuse that this would be handy when we clean the house. My ct36 cleans steps better than a dyson.

May want to consider tossing the CT-SYS on a SysCart for mobility.  [wink]

The CT-SYS Vac has to be an elaborate April Fools joke.  It's too affordable to be a real Festool offering.

Nope, no joke.

But maybe there will be some coming...  [popcorn] [bite tongue]

Just a good price.

Shane,
On the SYS-Combi, are the 2 dividers in the lower drawer removable?  I'm thinking about parking a router edge guide/fine adjuster in the bottom drawer.

Do you know what the internal drawer height is?

Thanks
