New Festool Goodies to be released in Autumn

I'll be interested to see if Festool can produce an impact driver that:
a) is compatible with the T-15 batteries (all but certain if they are smart...and they are)
b) can make me consider replacing my beloved Makita impact driver with theirs (unknown)

I'm certainly interested in seeing what they come up with.

Answers
A - yep
B - of course

+1 on all points!

The perfect kit? A C15 plus an impact driver with batteries and charger. Cost? I don't give a damn.  Value? Priceless!

Dan.

1) Festool Impact Driver (apparently with the ability to switch off the "impact" function)

as we had the famous discussion already, then i assume that with an impact driver you mean a tool with only one speed and no ability to drill.
i would doubt that from festool when other brands now make impact drill/drivers with two speeds and the ability to drill.
though when i look at Bosch's impact drill driver and see that it's almost double the price of their drill drivers with same voltage.
then i fear festool may come out with a $1000 plus drill!  [scared]
wouldn't make any sense to make it the same price as their drills if it can do more, it would render the regular drills obsolete.
anyway, if it can't drill then i won't buy it, and if its alot more expensive than the T's or C's with same voltage, then i won't either

Dan, you forgot to add the cordless Carvex into that...

I am praying for 1,500 in lbs of brushless goodness.  Please blow away my makita, please

I'm waiting to get the ok to talk.  [popcorn] [poke] Christian, Shane.

+ 2 on that!  I had a rep just smile and say it could happen...when I asked about a hammer drill and impact drill.

Note there are also impact wrenches that are a bit different.

Cheers,
Steve

we have all seen the protool flashlight. soon to be painted dark blue and bright green.

i want to see festool impact driver pictures and i want to see them now!!!

come on people, someone has photos.......

i have to say, i am very impressed that the festool impact driver has been kept locked up tight.
normally we would have seen something by now........
i thought it was good marketing business to leak first? (apple use this strategy very well indeed)
