I'm excited to announce the introduction of the new Festool HK 55 and HKC 55 saws, DWC 18 Autofeed Screw Gun, and SysLite DUO to the U.S. market on September 12th!  [drooling] [thumbs up]

HK 55 / HKC 55 Cross-cut Track Saws

These highly anticipated new tools are a great complement to the Festool track saw family. But, they aren't your grandpa's track saw! They feature the ability to make cuts in rapid-fire succession that's to the saw retracting on the rail. There's no time or effort spent resetting the saw for the next cut. A great choice for flooring, trim, rough construction and other applications. Compatible with Festool's FS guide rails, and available in corded and cordless models. It's like having an ultra-portable, compact, ~10-pound sliding compound miter saw in your hands.

DWC 18 Screw Gun

Also, the new Festool DWC 18 autofeed screw gun is coming. A pressure-activated trigger means you just push down to drive a screw, no need to hold the trigger as you work, which reduces fatigue especially when working overhead. Uses standard collated screws, like Senco type. Available in two versions: BASIC (no batteries/charger) and PLUS (2 batteries + charger).

SysLite DUO

Lastly, the SysLite DUO is also launching featuring 8000 ultra-bright lumens of evenly dispersed light across 180-degrees from its LEDs. Available with or without the optional tripod. The tripod is also available separately, but the package is a much better price.

Preorder yours now from Festool Products. Free shipping on all Festool orders, no charges until it ships.

Looks like it, Kev. For those not familiar with the DWC, it comes in 2500RPM and 4500 RPM versions. The latter is primarily for drywall while the other is for subfloor and decking due to its higher torque.

We're getting the 4500 drywall version.

All of the new tools are on the website ready for preorder. They will ship on Monday, September 12th.

Maybe our friend from across the pond, [member=41214]Phil Beckley[/member], can share some of his feedback on these tools since he's been using them for a while. Thanks to [member=11196]Peter Parfitt[/member] for the great videos.

Festool will be demo'ing these great new tools at Festool Connect, which I can now confirm me and a couple of the other Tool Nuts will be attending. We' looking forward to catching up with some of our friends there.

Post any questions you might have. Thanks!

You guys are going to LOVE the new FSK rails partnered with the HK saws. After about an hour you're amazed by them .. a few hours later you've forgotten about life before them [big grin]

[member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] So the HKC basic is just the saw, no batteries OR rail?  Correct me if I'm wrong, but there doesn't seem to be a Saw + Rail only option for the HKC (w/out batteries), as there is for the corded version.

Hey [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member], just curious if the HKC's that will be shipping in September, will have an Imperial scale with a metric depth adjustment?

[member=37411]Edward A Reno III[/member], correct, no option for the cordless with just the rail.  [unsure]

[member=44099]Cheese[/member], great question --- Imperial scale! I assume the steps on the mechanism are metric. But, [member=57769]TylerC[/member] can confirm.

I realize you can't comment on these things, and that the dealers don't make the packages, but let me just register my displeasure (especially since that option does exist for the corded version).  It just seems like such an obvious package for those of us already invested in the battery platform.

Wow that was close. [scared] I was really upset when this came to my attention. I just bought a Senco auto screw driver for screwing on siding now that I see we'll only have a drywall gun available all's well again.  [big grin] I hope my days of drywall are in the past. Never to rear its ugly head again

[member=37411]Edward A Reno III[/member] Welcome to the club.

In Oz we had the double insult of it coming with 4.2Ah batteries as well !!! [mad] [mad] [mad]

The 18V flex system story doesn't hold water in my books if the benefits don't extend to the accessories. If Festool got this right they'd have a perfect market for Systainer kit's simply containing batteries and chargers. Imagine a Sys1 that was a charger with four forward facing battery charger slots - I'd buy one tomorrow.

On the HK55 v's HK55 + FSK bundle you're getting the 420 rail for and extra $120 instead of the full price of $175 ... and that $55 difference is probably the spare blade you would have liked to buy as well [wink]

Yeah, I noticed that there was no HKC + FSK option as well. Maybe Festool will consider adding that option with some feedback. I think it would be a good option as well.

Shane or anyone who can answer this, will the Festool 200161 FSK670 Guide Rail Bag hold more than one FSK rail, perhaps a 420 as well?

[member=21978]blk65brd[/member], I haven't seen these in person yet, so I don't have an answer. But, I'll get one for you if one of our members from Europe or Australia don't chime in with the answer first.

It's a bit of a squeeze for the 420 in with the 670, but they fit if you're careful and position them so you don't strain the zip too much. I keep by 250 in the bag with the 670 and the 420 in it's own bag (Festool don't make a bag for the 250).

Any word if the hk/85 will be introduced to US?

[member=32709]bub254[/member], nope. I don't think it will make it's way to the US because of potential liability of that dado blade.
