Howdy from California!

I am a NEW Festool owner.

I became a woodworker about 12 years ago, when I bought house in NC to rip apart and learn building from. In that house, I laid hardwood, learned plumbing and carpentry from trial and error, and a fuckton of knowledge about wood, design, and being patient.

My wife and I now live in Santa Cruz, CA, and we recently moved into a house with a 2 car garage. I am excited to start leveling up my woodworking with this new space and what I've learned from years past. And, I've decided to finally take the plunge into Festool products.

I started my Festool journey with two, I think, key tools: the dust vac, domino joiner, and a few fun accesories:

577084 CT 36 HEPA Dust Extractor
204083 CT Cyclone Dust Collection Pre-Separator CT-VA 20
496186 SELFCLEAN Filter Bag for CT 36, Quantity 5
202097 Bluetooth Remote Control Set for CT 26/36/48 Dust Extractors

576431 Domino Joiner XL DF 700 EQ Set
576794 Domino DF 500 1,060-Piece Tenon Assortment Systainer3 with Cutters
Seneca Small Mortise Kit for Festool Domino XL DF 700

I would love to meet some local woodworkers, hobbyist or pro, in Santa Cruz. If you are out there, let me know!

Welcome!  You are on a slippery slope!  Another Ohio guy here, this is a great place to learn from some expert, and active, members.  I am neither of those for the record lol.

Random question - why do you have a DF700 and a Senaca small mortice kit, when you have a DF500?

576794 is the assortment kit for the DF500, not the Domino itself.
