New festool owner

Richard

Also Being a local West Aussie as well there are only 2 Festool dealers worth discussing anything with. They are the 2 Festool Premium dealers we have.

North - Beyond tools in Malaga
South - Toolmart in Belmont.

Now going from personal experience Beyond tools is the choice, the staff are very knowledgeable and can answer any questions you have, if they can't there is someone there who can.
Many of the sales staff there have had training with Festool Australia in Melbourne.
I have purchased all my Festools from them, and i think i only every had to order in my OF1400,  all others were in stock.  ( Orders usually are there within a week ) They also have a massive display area.

As for pricing they will look after you.

Carbatec in Balcatta is another but they always seem to have a smallish display, though  the knowledge base seems very deep.

The other Toolmart stores pull stock from the Belmont store hence why they may have limited knowledge and stock.

Ok cool thanks

I'll definitely check out Beyond Tools before I make my decision them

Thanks for the heads up

Reading your collection you could probably open up a store of your own!!

I am with Kev,find the premium outlet in your area and support them, over time you will value that relationship more and more.

There are plenty of aftermaket items to purchase online because that is the only option.

My local Festool dealer (Combined Electrical - Fyshwick)has been very helpful over the last few years.

The tooltechnic (Festool Australia)reps are always good for advice, the guy who looks after Canberra - Don Hing is a legend,he doesnt know everything and doesnt pretend to but he does find out what you need to know.

To sum up you will spend plenty over time and you cant build a relationship with an online purchase so go local where you can, online when you need to!

I too am new to festool, I have recently got the ts 55 and the cxs and so far so good, I'm a carpenter/shopfitter and the ts55 is great! Before I use to mark my boards, either use a stright edge or guide and then cut but now it's easy! Just use the rails and the saw cuts like a dream.
The cxs is also great, didn't know which to go for drill wise but my makita 10.8 was on its way out so that made up my mind, I may go for the c15 but need to save my penny's first.

Wish I got them sooner!

Welcome, Danlong3100!

I think your final sentence epitomizes what most of us have thought after buying Festool. You summed up the experience in five words. Good job!!!

OH...enjoy your new toys - errr, tools!

[wink]

Hi Richard,

Welcome to the wonderful world of Festool - It truly is a beautiful thing.

Question: Who do you use for shipping when you do these quartile-bulk shipments? When you say you have a US shipping address do mean like a US freight forwarder?
