I would consider purchasing it, if it could recharge my batteries.
Without the battery recharging feature this product is useless to me.

With a power supply adapter output of a mere 1.2 Amperes & a quoted Voltage of 19V, just about any alternative AC adapter of indigenous North American AC line voltage (115V) capable of delivering 18V DC @ 1200 mA. (only 22 watts) will do the trick of simultaneously powering the device & charging the internal 10.8V battery.
