New Festool Tools 2014

The price of those drawers is going to be interesting ... A couple of drawer runners and a base should be less than a Sys1 IMO.

Let's hope they do something smart in terms of pricing.

I would wake up from that dream now Kev! ;)

Bound to be 3-4x more expensive than it should be. Festool pricing really is crazy sometimes...:-[

This should be an item that is priced to attract further custom - "build your own Sys Port, now fill it up with Systainers containing our tools and accessories."  [smile]

However, in truth it will probably be over priced compared to DIY alternatives but some will buy them for a consistency in the Festool look in their shops and vans!    [mad]

Good Morning

I have UK RRP's for you.

I'm not sure what is included in the set, but we have a meeting with Frank from Festool tomorrow to get all our questions answered.

Best regards

Warren

In my admittedly limited time being obsessed with all things Festool, I have not seen any indication that they would embrace this kind of marketing concept, i.e. get 'em hooked on cheap systainer drawers so they buy more systainers and tools. It would be a refreshing idea, but I won't hold my breath.

Any chance that a "set" translates to ~6 complete drawers? [blink]

If I remember correctly, it's 5. But don't hold me to it. Verified. it's 5.

Now I'm interested ... looks like it'll come down to how greedy Tooltechnic is locally. (Something that can never be under estimated unfortunately!)

Can't wait to see some of the custom implementations as these hit the Euro/GB market.

Don't hold your breath Don T. We're all still waiting for the stuff that came out in Europe last year. :(

I'm pleasantly surprised by that pricing. With the discounts that Festool retailers are generally giving these days, you should be able to pick them up for £30-35 a time (inc. VAT).

When you consider that a decent set of runners will set you back £20-25 for the pair, that's actually pretty good IMHO.

I think that the new Syslite will be a winner not only with the normal community but also the photographers. That slight change to colour temperature could make it an interesting fill light and that fixing accessory will be useful.

Dear Festool maker in the sky please look down on me and say - behold a Syslite just for you.

and he replied...

Anything to shut you up. Use it wisely. Go forth and prosper and please don't pester me again.[/

Did I miss it? What is the pricing?

I realize that it is NAINA, at least for now. But an idea of the UK pricing might let us speculate on what the ballpark USA pricing might eventually be.

£144= $255 AUST, for set of 5, before any local considerations by importer/dealer discounting. Probably viable to make your own, after all the carcass has to be made.
