New First Aid Kit & Cordless Drills

At long last a First Aid Kit that actually has in it what you need for first aid, plenty of palsters, eye wash, sterile wipes and a good pair of scissors!

The First Aid Kits in the UK always seem to contain 20 triangular bandages and in 35 years of being qualified in First Aid I have never used one of them!!

Another good product NAIUK I suppose!! [mad]

Looks like a decent first aid kit.  Right now, I have one I made up myself in this mini systainer:

but I might purchase thsi one as well.

I assume this isn't an actual Festool product but rather a third party packing the first aid contents in a Festool Sys one??

Negative, you assumed wrong. This will be a Festool limited time promotional product, while supplies last. There are instructions included with the kit for reordering replacement supplies from a third party.

And, I should mention, that this information was just made available to dealers so none of them are going to have it in stock yet. The OP was a little preemptive in posting about this.

Thank you Shane.  The next time I've got 90 bucks burning a hole in my pocket I'll pick one up. [huh]

Chris, I would expect dealers to begin ordering them this week. So, the ones who order inventory would presumably have them in stock next week.

The latches make it stand out but it should be a t-loc systainer, easer to open if you cut your hand or finger.

Yes, it is cute now.  But I can see that thing covered in blood the first time I tried opening those latches when in need.... [huh]
I actually did get blood on mine once -since cleaned off.

I made sure that the latches on mine were (and are) very easy to open.

I might get one of the new kits but will definately keep my green one because it is very easy to locate in a hurry when  it is needed.

Brice, If you do come up with $90, just use the bills to wrap your cuts and hold them on with some duct tape.  I wasn't the first to think of this.  You've heard of "blood money"?

Seth,  Grab those latches before they're discontinued!  [big grin]

OK, something is wrong here.  Festool has the time to put a first aid kit together, but doesn't have enough time to bring a Centrotec Set to the US?!?!?!?!

BTW, why is the first aid kit in a classic Systainer?  If you have a cut finger that doesn't stop bleeding, do you have the time to open all four latches?

Yup, it's way past my bed time and I need to get some sleep.  Nothing better than dreaming about using Festool.  Hopefully, I won't have any nightmares about this cheesy first aid kit  [tongue]

Hmmmm, and I was thinking of getting a red Mini to use as a kit. But now this........... what to do, what to do  [unsure]

Seth

I'll shamelessly admit that I jumped in and got one from Sean as soon as he said "They're going fast...". Damn those marketing
scare tactics!  [wink]

I too think it would be great as a T-Loc with a red/white cross on the latch. Then again, might not be too hard to print a label like that yourself
to go over the T-loc latch? Or maybe you can get colorware to do a custom job for you!

Realistically, you can open it with just one hand. If you don't have a hand left to open it, you're probably not in any shape to be putting on
your own bandaids anyway....  [eek]

Off topic i know but do any of the UK Foggers know where to get the coloured latches from ?

Ok, carry on  [smile]
