New FOG stinks

5S with the jumping issue. Only occurs on the forum home screen. In a sub forum no jumping. Jumping stops if I place my finger on the screen. I can open a sub forum by tapping at just the right time.

Just shut down and restarted my iPhone, problem with the jumping is gone.

Thank you everyone for reminding me to do this.

Can i get some educating on Tapatalk? I'm numb to the whole thing, its downloading on my iPhone now.

No problem at all on my pretty small Android screen.

I'm amazed how people here keep telling me Apple is better in every way, yet the sheer amount of problems reported here with Apple devices versus Android or Windows makes me think otherwise.

Only thing I noticed on my Android phone is that the quote box doesn't scale to the screen. Which would make me say "Hey Shane, this tiny little thing is not working, could you please look into that", instead of going "THE NEW FOG STINKS".

I was having a problem with expanding a column of pics in one of the threads last nite.  I don't even remember which discussion it was.  Every time i tried to make it larger, i was jumped to one of th pics higher up on the page.  it kept happening, so i just went to another discussion, read a little and then shut down. It was past my bed time (the sun had almost disappeared below horizon) so I figured in morning, i would try again.  a lot of correspondence this am so I am already late.  I'll check again when i get back home from work.

APPLE iOS USERS TRY THIS:  It worked for me.

Open Safari on iDevice.  Press the 2 square icon at bottom of the screen to see how many sites you have open.  Close them all.  Then close Safari.

Go to the home screens and go to Settings.  Go to Clear Cookies and Data.  Press that.  Confirm that.  You then get out of Settings.

Try FOG again.  You should have to log in again.  The FOG Home Page then worked perfectly like it did when I opened up my phone on Sunday.

Thanks to Tjbier for suggesting this!

Hope that works for you also.

The jumping was back on mine this morning. Tried the process Peter posted. So far so good.

Tapatalk has 2 parts.  One is the app you are downloading (hopefully you are done by now! ;) )and the other is software that is installed by Shane.

The phone app is merely just that.  It is an app dedicated to digesting forums.  from one app i can access 30 forums if I wish and the app itself has many features to enrich that experience.  From the basics of browsing this forum, to setting push notifications for certain things (like subscribing to threads and getting updated when someone posts).

Like i mentioned, it has a lot of features but a big complaint is that some are not easily found... guess that is what google is for ;)

Hope you enjoy it, i have for a long time.

Cheers.  Bryan.

PS: I have no affiliation with the product or company other than I have had a version of it installed on my phone & tablet since October of 2012...

I don't normally use my iphone to view the FOG, but I do have the "jumping" at default zoom. It looks like the site is trying to decide on a font size. It starts small, tries the larger, falls back to small again, rinse, repeat... almost looks like a heartbeat. I tried to zoom in and it stopped immediately without a refresh or anything else.

Guys, sorry I have been absent from the forum the past few days. I am in meetings and such all of this week, so I have little opportunity to work on the forum. I would suggest that you try Peter's suggestion. I view the forum on my iPhone 5S all the time and have not seen this issue.

If you are still having issues after clearing your cache and cookies, let me know and I will work on it as soon as possible.

Shane

To add to Shane's post, if you have tried what I posted (based on a member's suggestion), PLEASE post that it worked for you or not.  I know Shane wants to get all this finalized as he can, and if you post we can better understand if this is the fix.  If you don't post we have no idea if it worked or not and you still have an issue.

Thanks,

Peter

Frank,

Are talking about the most recent posts that are on the bottom of the home page?  or something else?
