At the risk of getting hammered here on the Forum, I thought I would let you know that Grizzly just announced a new 10in table saw with a European-type slider that looks very impressive.  They are taking orders and you can see the saw on their website.  Price is $2750.  For those of you who insist on still using a table saw, this may be worth a look.  Seems quite sturdy in the trunions, etc.  Not at the same level as Felder, Minimax or even Rojek (aluminum and melamine? vs cast iron for example), it still could be attractive, especially at a few bucks more than Powermatic or SawStop.  Sports a riving knife, scoring blade, dust shroud around blade, and a few more nifty features. http://www.grizzly.com/products/g0623x      Here's a pic:[attachimg=#]

(Sorry, best I could do from my phone)

Also, Rikon announced a new sliding table saw but no release date or specific info yet (See Finewoodworking editor's blog with show notes).

FWIW

Dave, I'm glad to hear from someone who saw the G0623X up close.  I read about this on other forums and on the Grizzly website.  I've done some reading about euro style sliders, and they are very intriguing to me.  Given my current needs and setup, I couldn't justify the price of a euro-manufactured saw.  However, if the Grizzly machine is well designed and well built, I might be interested at the price they're asking.

By the way, for those of you interested in learning more about euro style sliders, there are a bunch of good threads at Sawmill Creek (hope it's ok to mention that).  When searching for posts, be sure to do one for EFSTS.
