Stumbled across this forum when I was searching for all things Festool!

Quick snippet about me:  professional photographer by day and amateur woodworker by night (when I'm not shooting).  Bought my first Festool tool about three months ago (TS 75 and MFT-3) and It seems like I'm buying more and more every week!

Cheers,
Eric

Here's the latest image of my OF 1400:

you'll have to give us some lessons on tool/product photography. maybe i'll start a thread on the topic. theres so many photos posted it would be wild to see the majority of them look like the one you shared!

Welcome to the Forum!  That is a great picture...enjoy your tools.  Look forward to seeing more of your work and learning more about your Festools.

Thanks for the welcome!  And yes, they sure are like Tribbles…  I realized I couldn't help myself when I had two Systainers; something magical happens when you connect them together!

Let me know when you start the topic.  I'll gladly trade my photography knowledge for woodworking knowledge!  In the mean time, here's another image, let me know if any of you would like to see more!

Welcome Eric -

Nice to have you join us and looking forward to photo tips mixed in with woodworking discussions!

Great images Eric.  I am not a skilled photographer but I've always liked still life's of tools scattered around the work site. Some think that's a little odd.  You've validated my tastes, thanks. I'd love to see more.

I agree… There's just something about "organized clutter" that captures my attention.  I have a "photojournalistic" approach and style and usually shy away from staged portraiture.  Here's a couple more of my clutter:

My wife boss calls them "man sized legos"... for that she is right.  sometimes when i am out of my workflow, I refer to them as "these %^@#^#@& Tetris blocks!!!"

Before I even read the text of your messages or saw the tagline in the photos, I thought, "this guy understands how to use light."  Nice photos.  And [welcome] to the FOG.

I call BS.  Those photos were staged.  I can tell because there was sawdust on the table.  And in the last picture, there was also expensive beer in a nice tall glass.  Anybody who has purchased festool recently doesn't have any money left over for beer.  [big grin]

Eric welcome to FOG. Looking forward to more photos. Photography is my other hobby.

Yes, lighting will make or break your photography!  Here's one with some cool lighting:

I used to find ways to make excessive sawdust, I'd also track it into the house; then the wife finally caved and agreed to a CT 26!  Before Festool, I always had a Guinness or Boddingtons within an arm-shot, but now, sadly, I've been reduced to PBR!  Here's a shot of the last glass of Guinness I've had:

Eric

Welcome to the FOG!  Great work!!  Good tool photos always provoke positive thoughts, especially when dealing with snow and not being out in the shop using.

Look forward to seeing more.

Great photography and I noticed the beer glass was empty by the last photo.

Yes, the beer comes out when clean up begins!  I most certainly need to keep all my digits to make a living!
