New Header

Shane,

I agree with Jonny.  Nice to see Festool getting so very involved these last few months.  One question, why did you use the blade from a food processor for the "O".  Is that a new Festool product NAINA? [poke]

Neill

Funny...  [tongue]

Yes, we have decided to venture into the food processing industry.  It's clearly an industry closely related to woodworking and our power tools can easily be adapted.  There will be a Trion bread slicing attachment, C12 mixing set, and router pie crust attachments.

Now, back to reality. That's what the new Multi-Jetstream pads look like.  More holes in them for increased performance.  I just like that image, it's actually the Rotex laying on its side.

Shane,

Okay!!  Glad you got it.  I actually did know what it was but I couldn't resist having a little fun.  Thanks for going along.  You'd make a wonderful playmate. [big grin]

Neill

P. S. A bit off topic, but thanks for all the new smileys.

OK, just so I'm clear on this, our new header has the bottom of a multi-jetstream pad which is designed to evacuate dust buildup and is attached to a vacuum,... and our new header logo represents us as a group,... wait a second, here. Does that mean we suck? [eek]

I like the new header too. Very attractive lay-out. Well done. Could use a tad green though to finish it off.

Shouldn't there be some sort of green mist or fog hovering over the logo? ;D

though I too like the idea I find it is taking up a bit more screen hight than is necessary. So if is possible to have a shallower header on other than the index page it would be even better.

It's fine with me. It looks very professional and the Rotex "O" is very good. I have three of the tools in the lineup so I need more to match my collection with the header.

Just get a bigger screen.  [poke]

When you scroll down, the header scrolls off screen, atleast for me. Doesn't seem like height has much affect on readable space, when scrolled.

Am I missing something?

The same thing happens for me.  Thats one of the reasons that I responded in a flipant way to Jerome.

Hey Shane - can you make the header logo clickable to take you back to the home page?

Like the image - just want it to take me home.

neil

Neil, I'm going to be making some additional design changes.  I'll incorporate that into the list of things to work on.  In the mean time, the "Home" link is right below the logo.  Thanks for the feedback.

Some people had contacted me about the new header and the fact that the FOG logo was not clickable to return to the home page.  Well, I finally took the time to remedy that issue.  You can now click the "FOG" part of the header.  The tools in the background are not clickable.  Hope this improves usability (slightly).

Shane,

My Iphone and I appreciate the effort.  [thumbs up] [thumbs up] [thumbs up] [thumbs up] [thumbs up] [thumbs up] [thumbs up] [thumbs up]
