New Kapex Zero Clearance Insert

Hi Guy & Girls,

Just thought i would share a new product made by Betterly Industries.

It's a new CNC Machined Phenolic Insert made for the Kapex.

As a disclaimer, i  did test the prototype for Betterlys, but i do not receive any compensation.

I think this is a fantastic product, which greatly enhances the performance and safety of the Kapex.

My cuts are cleaner, and cutting the smaller moldings is no longer a concern !!

I believe the insert is going to sell for $19.95

I do believe they became available today !! I picked mine up yesterday fresh from having the logo's applied and they had a stack of them ready to go !!

Well then this is your excuse to get one! Start with the ZCI, then get the saw--- makes sense to me!!! ;D

Do you order 3 of the inserts? Left bevel, right bevel, straight, change it out for each cut? Once you cut any bevel with the zero clearance installed it is no longer zero clearance.

Kind of like a table saw zero clearance, you can't tilt the blade with the insert installed.

I was thinking about ordering more than one, based on the kerf of the blades, but the catalog shows they are all the same. Had not thought about the bevel cut issue though---

There is no need to buy 3 separate inserts ! The width of the kerf cut does not drastically change after performing bevel cuts ! The phenolic holds up incredibly well !!

I would just run one, and replace when you deem necessary, but you will be surprised on how well they hold up !!
