The currently offered blue sys-2 is the same as the sys-2 the Pro-5 came with correct?

Why did I get charged sales tax? None of my past orders have, including one last month. (Did our government finally fix the loop hole of buying from out of state?)

Based on the photos from Festool, it is very similar. The handle was green on the PRO 5 Systainer, I believe, and this one has a blue handle.

I think sales tax being charged in all states by all online retailers is inevitable. Due to Wayfair vs. South Dakota, more and more states are implementing economic nexus, which means if a retailer does a certain amount of business in a particular state, that state can require that the retailer collect sales tax. We are being compliant with these laws.

It's important to note that consumer are required by law to report all online purchases where sales tax was no collected on their income tax.

Good question.

Maybe some of our European friends can help answer since they've had this item for a while. But, I think it's just to aid with round items to keep them from rolling around while you're trying to cut them.

Was given a 5-in-1 by our rep the other day... Put it in the tool box wondering when I'd use it.... Two days later I was bedding Kerdi in thinset and needed something to smooth it into a tight corner.... Worked like a charm. And the shiny surface cleaned easily....

I love the versatility of the 5 in 1 tools and I have a few floating around here.  Would be nice to have one in stainless, but I'm still in for a Festool branded one and a couple of the systainers.  [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] you are big trouble to my wallet!  [eek]

Hey Mike FWIW, several years ago Sherwin Williams marketed a bunch of scrapers, putty knives, drywall knives and 5in1 tools in stainless. I picked up the complete set. Can’t say enough good things about them. I use an extra stainless 5in1 as a grate scraping tool for the Weber. Been outside for at least 5 years and there’s not a speck of rust on it.  [big grin]  There’s a market out there for these stainless items.

Keep an eye out as there may be some NOS out there floating around.

[member=44099]Cheese[/member]  I think it was more than several years ago when I bought mine at Sherwin Williams.  I have three sizes of their drywall/putty knives and they are mostly the only ones I use.  Super easy cleanup and no rusting!  I only keep the non-stainless ones around for the nasty jobs.  Sadly, when I went back some time later to SW to buy the 5 in 1 and more of the others, they had already discontinued them.
