New pricing:

201065 Vacuum unit VAC SYS SE 1 USA $425.00
203148 Vacuum unit VAC SYS System $990.00
203149 Vacuum unit VAC SYS System Set $1,375.00
580062 Vacuum unit VAC SYS SE 2 $425.00

I should also mention that we have these in stock and ready to ship. Fast, free shipping on all Festool orders.  [wink]

These discounts are happening more and more often lately.
Is Festool liberalizing it's price policy in the US?

Not to my knowledge. This is, as far as I know, a one-off situation that's not happened before. I assume it was the result of lower-than-expected sales on the Vac-Sys.

The only other discounts that have happened are for discontinued products, which has always been open to dealers for discounting.

Just to confirm, there hasn't been a hard discontinuation on the VAC-SYS products, correct?

Correct, the VAC-SYS has not been discontinued, [member=19475]yetihunter[/member].

My first FT purchase that has depreciated.  [crying]

Though adding a second head got significantly more affordable. [scratch chin]

Important to note that this just applied to the pump and head units. The pads and other accessories' pricing has not changed.

Bought a reconditioned one just a little while ago.  DOH!  But it's a good system and I'm not actually concerned with selling it.

If anyone is picking one up, I'd strongly recommend getting the extra set of heads.

how long will discount last? or is this a new retail price?

[member=20998]safety1st[/member], great question. Every indication from Festool is that this is a permanent price change. I would anticipate that this is the price until the next catalog at a minimum, around Spring 2019. [unsure]

So it appears only the system is reduced in price.  Some of the accessories appear to be the same price as before.  Is this correct?

[member=60452]McNally Family[/member], so if you missed it but I had mentioned that earlier in the thread. This only applies to the vacuum, head units and sets. Accessories, including pads, are excluded.

So, what does it mean?
I suspect a new version (either T-Loc systainer or even new hardware) is in the making and the old stock needs to go.

But good to see that the vac sys gets a somewhat more reasonable price.

Thank Shane. And good morning.
These are on my hit list.
Was waiting for a set to come up on the recon site but now....
I order a set this week.

Thanks for the info fellows

Question, I don’t know if this has ever been addressed here before so I’ll ask in hopes I’m not repeating the same thing

Does or will the flip down mounts for the Vac Pods fit the 80/20 structural material.  From the pictures it looks possible.  Just asking if anyone has mounted them to the 80/20 struts

Thank you
