Hi, I just got my first festool products delivered to me today. When I unpacked my MFT/3 I noticed one of the rails has a dent in it. The dent is on the top part of the rail, not the slot so I don't know how much it will affect the use. It's also on the end of the table where I don't think I would be clamping much to. Just wondering if this is normal condition to expect from online delivered tools? Other than that I was impressed with the quality of everything. Haven't had a chance to fire them up yet, they came too late in the day for my kids bedtime.

The MFT's are one of the hardest Festool items to ship.  If it were me I would contact your dealer and see if he could arrange for a replacement part.

From the looks of the dent vs the box I would say it probably happened at the factory. But, you never know.

My MFT/3 came with a chip the size of a quarter out of one of the corners.  It was nothing that affected the performance, but it was sharp enough to cut you if you reached under the table.
I spoke to my dealer, sent a few pictures.  He coordinated with Festool and they drop shipped the part to me.  All in all, under a week from start to finish.  Support is awesome.
It probably took me 15-20 minutes to replace the part (the MFTs are slightly more complicated than they look from an assembly perspective) but it wasn't a difficult job at all.
Definitely a much easier solution than trying to return the whole thing!.

As others have said, call your dealer and ask for a resolution.

If there is one thing better than the tools, it's the service.
