Oooh....they've already taken down the page. Lucky I screen-grabbed it! Launching in a couple of days, but I doubt that price is accurate!

Can't help but wonder what barbarian keeps their level like that in the box, instead of shoving it in the handle?

For your further enjoyment...  [big grin]

To be fair, it's my understanding that the handle on the toolbox isn't compatible with the level for "reasons".

For "reasons" that could have been easily solved by Tanos.  [sad]

I ran into that too.  Ended up returning the level.  It would have been perfect in that open systainer.

...and now the CombiBox M 287 is back on the Tanos website as an official product. No anthracite version that I can see, unfortunately. But the price here is the 44,95€ it showed up as the other day.

So what do you think of this CombiBox?  Any particular task you believe it to be well suited for?

If it was in size L I'd use it for my main toolbox.  I think L sized drawer units are a major gap in the Systainer offering.

L-sized with real drawer slides and an IP54 seal like the Dewalt ThoughBuilt units. 3x and 2x drawer units (also one with 2x the same height) and you could store almost all of the e-tools without opening a lid, easy accessable in a stack or when in a shelf...

I would take this in Anthracite. Keep my drills in the top. All of the chucks, right angle attachments and other parts in the drawers. Currently those pieces are all inside an M89 organizer.

That level is an odd 43 cm long (Stabila 70 Electric) , that is why it doesn't fit nice in Systainers.

I own it too. It's very nice to mark out outlets as it has four holes spaced 71mm. Probably doesn't apply to the USA

They also sell a 120cm version that has five holes at 71mm, also provides for spacing ~92mm for completely separate sets of boxes and also has the standard heights for switches and outlets above floor level.

I think the comment was more about the new Festool level that slides into the handle of everything other than the Toolboox.

The yellow Stabila in the shot is nice, though, and I definitely appreciated learning more about the spaced holes on it.

The same barbarian who uses regular dedicated screw drivers rather than a Festool driver with centrotec bits.....  8)

Portable chisel/plane till.  I made the mistake once of putting those in an enclosed systainer along with a leather strop.... ya - no.  I keep them in an open top now, but the drawers would be nice for sharpening jigs and such.

I ended up ordering one, should be here next week. Will share any thoughts I have about it once it arrives and I've had a little play.

Where did you order it from? I didn't see it on the systainerus or systainer.store

I'm in Germany and ordered it from Systainer's online shop here.

Just an update...it's been 12 days since I ordered the CombiBox and it seems it still hasn't been shipped. The couple of orders I've made previously with the Tanos shop have also taken a while to get moving, but this is excessive.
