Rob - I gota say that its cool of you to post this as a soft launch here [big grin]
I was wondering though - whats your timeline for brining in the Systainer Midi?  I was looking at ordering 1-2 from Felder in western Canada but they are only expecting them in July!

Hi,

Am just headed out of the country in an hour, and will have no Internet.... Best bet is to give Cust Service a shout, or send an email...I know they're ordered... CS should be able to advise the dates. They should be fairly soon...

Cheers,

Rob

Thanks Rob!

lol, when I called CS they hand no idea what I was talking about and said they could not look it up/tell me if they knew.  Mentioned this thread.
Oh well, not a big enough deal to push the point.

Will be ordering a SysMIDI asap!

Well got home from work yesterday and look what I found at my door.
This set is awesome, played around with it for a while, it will be a great addition to my MFT's for sure

Hi Frank -

The dangers of of giving a "heads - up", like we did here.... Kits are all produced, and in the distribution system, but can take up to a week to reach even the closest store (we only truck weekly to each location). 95% of our staff have not even seen them yet!

For those that are looking for the individual components, that release is being held until May 6th... we had to choose to support either open stock, or kit production.... and kits won. The second run (much larger!) of parts should be finished over the next two weeks. We'd like to go faster, but are now at 3 shifts in the machine shop.

Cheers -

Rob

Sorry if this was posted elsewhere already - will they be offerred in the US also?

If I would have known I would have ordered one the other day when I placed an order with LV during free shipping. I have been watching this thread and waiting to order one. How much are they going for?

Thanks,

Daniel

Hi -

These are all well under way, produced, priced, and being packaged and distributed as I write...

We are waiting (of all things!) for the milled foam liners... which is holding up the entire release. They are expected within 7-10 days. I did not want to release the individual components early, without giving people a choice of the set, as the set represents about a 30% saving over the components orderd individually.

Intro price will be $249, regular will be $269 (full retail on individual components is $355+).

[Snipped package contents]

Since there are no actual Festool parts in this kit - we can ship anywhere (countries other than USA or Canada will need a shipping quote!).

I will also say that initial supply may be limited, as we have no previous sales data to draw from, and these are virtually all custom built parts. Should we run out - we will honor the intro price for all who want one....

As John pointed out - you folks know about this before many of our own staff do.... we are still generating and releasing internal information (including a video). I would expect that all will be wrapped up and ready to go in about two weeks....

Cheers -

Rob
