Man I sure hope they don't run out of these !!! [eek]  BTW  Rob how long is the "Introductory offer" good for ?   I need to plan my purchase . [big grin]

I found a hint that the offer ends on May 5th on the Lee Valley web site.   But, I did not find a definite date.  I say hint, because the individual components of the package will become available on May 6th.

Hi -

Since we have no way of judging demand (this is our first accessory kit) we have not yet set an end date: stock is limited, and we want to ensure we honor the price for all those that want a kit. I would expect that the intro price will expire mid- late-May....

We will give two weeks notice of the end of the sale though!!

Cheers -

Rob

Seth, I just realized this AM LV posted a video link showing it used on the the site.

It looks even better in use, now I really want it!

Hey.  There's a video of the kit in action now....

If I was on the fence about getting this set, I just fell off it after seeing the video!

I am doing all I can to hold back. I think if I could just get the Dogs I would be satisfied with those and the clamping elements

C'mon, you must've done some task around the house to save some $$...you can justify it now ;)

Lol! Let me flip a coin to decide!

Rob - great set!  Any chance it might be possible to buy a longer planing stop extrusion?  I'd really like to get one of them to create a fixed fence for my MFT!

I just received mine last night. This is an impressive product. Just the look alone is incredible; black, grey and yellow with brass and steel. The fit and finish of both the components and the foam in the case are first rate.

A midi kit with longer planning stops and perhaps an extra surface clamp might also be a winner, though I doubt I would buy another one given the number of components already in this kit. Perhaps they could offer an upgrade with just the midi with foam and the extra pieces.

If anyone is coming to the Philadelphia area in the near future and wanted to bring along some NAINA items, maybe we could do a bit of trading.

Hey Terry,

Methinks, they're a side effect of the 3/4" version where the dog holes won't be predictable like the MFT, so the dogs slide to fit the bench.

Hey Kevin, long time no talk.

I don't think that's it, because there are distinct holes in the kit for the planing stop dogs, outside the hollow...

Hi -

We'll have longer versions available a bit later, both 3/4" and 20mm posts....

(waiting on the next extrusion order...)

Cheers -

looking forward to it Rob - hopefully there will be a 2-3ft length I can put at the back of my MFT  [big grin]
That should free up the protractor head to mount it right of the rail as a fence!

Just got my set this afternoon. What a great, professional looking set, right up there with Woodpeckers. Maybe even fancier than Festool.  : )  Great job Rob.

Perhaps my initial euphoria was overdone.   [sad]  I've tried all the Veritas components on my MFT/3, and find them to be a somewhat loose fit. Perhaps that was to ensure that they would work on the older MFT 800 and 1080 Rob? Measuring them with a Starrett micrometer, I find several thousands of an inch variation, somewhere around 0.771 to 0.775" ~19.58 to 19.70mm (haven't checked the calibration on this mike, so there may be a thou or two of error, but the Delta is definitely there). Still looks to be a very handy and usable kit, but perhaps not as accurate as Qwas dogs for setting up perpendicular?

I feel pretty lame I could've checked this about 3 weeks ago.  mine wiggle to, above is pretty accurate.heard alot good about l.v. customer service, guess with all that got sent out, it will be tested

just called l.v.,they said that they are engineered to be loose, climate change.they also said customer is right.if people think they should be tighter that's what they will do.also as expected return is a option.so everybody that got it,throw your two cents in

I have MFT 1080's & 800's a fall of the posts are loose in the holes. I'm not super concerned as I'm not using these for registration, but more as stops and to clamp. It's a great set either way. Do I wish the dogs for a bit tighter? Yes, but I'll survive. You'll be your own best judge!

If anyone would like to donate their MFT/3 to me, I'll be happy to report back on how they fit!  [tongue]

Bob
