More info and pics later, but  looks like the summer doldrums are coming to an end and Festool has some new products for the Fall. Looking good.
See below for the down and dirty. All will be available for pre-order and cards will not be charged until shipped.

Continuing to raise the bar in performance, Festool has made some improvements to the CT MINI and MIDI. New units come standard with a HEPA filter factory installed and the new self-cleaning filter bags that were introduced last year in the CT 26 and CT 36.  And, the best part... the price remains unchanged. Item numbers too.

Completing the Festool Dust Extractor lineup for 2011 is the all new CT 48, a 12.7 gallon workhorse with HEPA filters, Self-Cleaning Filter Bag design and Best-in-Class Suction, not to mention all the other features that combine to make Festool CT Dust Extractors the industry standard. The new CT 48 extends the benefits of the CT 26 and CT 36 up to a capacity that is ideally suited for the workshop, yet plenty manageable for the jobsite

Never understood why the Festool 98-Piece Centrotec Set comes with a Centrotec Chuck, 492135. Every Festool drill you buy has a Centrotec Chuck, 492135.  Is it for use with the hand driver?

Yes. Plus, this set will work with ANY drill, not just a Festool drill since it has an Centrotec adapter that fits a keyless chuck.  [wink]

Shane's note about a centrotec adaptor to fit regular keyless chuck drills caught my eye. Will this item be available separately?

Yes, very likely so. But not until later in the year.

Finally...off hand, does anyone know what the cost savings is for this set over the individual pieces?

Per Shane in another thread:

Purchased individually - $667
Savings - $242

So, discounted by 36%.

Thanks for the update Bob. Anyone know what will be in the fall sale, I'm looking to buy a OF1400.
Thanks Scott ;)

I am really looking forward to these.  Anything will be better then the paper one's, at least for what I do with mine.

Some day I will get another CT but, there are other things needed first.

See I thought it was one for $33, thats why i thought maybe it was multi-use  [wink] as $33 per bag was expensive, even in the Festool world.

how does 33dollars for 5 compare to 5 of the old.
at 6/ dollars a go its not that bad if you can get them full without breaking them
