New PSC 420?

I've been waiting a while for Festool to update their jigsaw line and was ready to buy when they did.

I have to admit that I've not been paying much attention over the last few months, but I just noticed that on the UK site, the PSC 420s are showing as "new", yet they seem pretty much identical to the old ones.

Anyone know why? Is it just the smaller batteries and the new systainer handles, with no changes to the machine itself?

If so, I guess that putting out a new model for these changes implies that they don't have any plans to update the machine anytime soon. Anyone care to comment?

Can't find a PSC420s model.
The link doesn't show this model either.
It's probably only the new HPC 4.0 battery and new Systainer3.

Not sure it implies anything, but knowing Festool, they don't update their tools very often.

Oops: misunderstanding. That's a plural, not a model number  [big grin]

Thanks for the replies -- also to [member=5277]Alex[/member] . If they don't update often, but they bothered to change the order number now, just for the battery and the systainer, it looks like nothing is in the works.

Just an updated systainer3 a different battery and a lower price.  My question is, where did you find one?  I thought they were m.i.a. indefinitely while the factories catch up.

I have one on order for more than a month now, latest ETA that is given: 16/11/2020.
Meanwhile the Trion keeps doing it's thing, only reason I bought the PSC 420 is the battery convenience, jigsaw is one of the last tools when i'm installing that I need to find an outlet for.
