Just wondering why they moved the newer model from a 1 to a 2
The size hasn't changed ?
I hate wasted space

I taking a WAG that they want to standardize sanders into SYS2s ???  [unsure] [unsure] [unsure]

All the rest come in those except the RO150 .

Makes sense but geez they practically had to build a pedestal to make it appear to fit [sad]

I fully agree! It is ridiculous.

How big is a sysII compared to the sander!! So much wasted space. I was also frustrated when they started selling the 18v drills in the sysII, I much prefer the sysI of old. But I guess these days the new larger airstream charger might not fit in a sysI with all the accessories.

Ultimately I would prefer festool to ship tools in the smallest sustainer that they can.

Although the SYS 2 might be a little more space than you need, we found that the SYS 1 was less space than a lot of people needed. We had complaints that people had a hard time easily closing the SYS 1 with RTS and DTS -- especially when they added things like abrasives or other accessories and consumables.

Thanks Tyler - i get that. Obviously everyone has different preferences. My comments are only subjective I'm certainly not bashing festool for not making everything as perfectly suited to me as i would like.  [big grin]

When stacking and storing systainers less height is always better in my opinion
Now if I was only good with labels and such
I'd have a spare sys 2 hanging around and then I could.......
