New - RTS, DTS and ETS 125 available September 1st (UK and Europe)

Had a go on the RTS400 yesterday, seemed a little different to the old one. Not enough to rush out and buy one, if you don't have one already though, you should. The new bag didn't collect enough dust for me, I've never used the old bag but the new one will look very smart in the systainer for years!

The pad protector looks good and I use one on the rotex, I'd need to use it for a while to see how close you can get to an edge with it on.

I'm not sure if it's perception but it seemed taller and slightly heavier than the current RTS but marginally quieter/smoother.

I just noticed that the longlife dust dag appears to compress down in size and lock into a closed position for storage, which is cool. Probably a spring inside. Nice addition for those who use the bags.

With the addition of the longlife reusable dust bags, I wonder if that means cordless versions are on the horizon.  [popcorn]

Ha, it's fun to be "on the outside" and being able to speculate and guess about what's in the pipeline.  [big grin]

Festool does nothing without good reason. So, there's got to be a reason for a new longlife dust bag.

Anyone else want to venture a guess?  [popcorn]

What i want to know is what size sanding stroke, requires a "long-life chip collection bag"?

Phil, can we assume that the new bags and protector pads will fit the older models as well as the new pads?
Cheers mate!

....hmmm, reckon this got lost in translation. Replace chip for 'dust particles'  [wink]

Don't think the new protector pads will fit the older RTS/DTS/ETS sanders.
There's a special groove needed.

So will a current ETS/125 accept a DTS pad??  I rarely need the corner sanding so that might would be perfect [emoji3]
