Festoll says it will have new stuff in 2011.

Anyone know what will be introduced in the United States in 2011?

Nothing set in stone and Shane can better answer, but we are all hoping that we will get the new C Drills, the RO 90 DX sander and the Carvex jigsaws.

Hi, Ed. Welcome to the forum.

Like Bob said, we hope to see the new Lithium Ion C12 and C15, the new RO 90 DX sander and the Carvex jigsaws.  There may be other new introductions, but nothing definitive at this point.  If you search the forum, you can find information about the tools mentioned above which have already been introduced in European markets.

JR sent me an email that Festool, who I guess was our very own Shanerino :, posted on Facebook that they will be at the Remodeling Show in Baltimore the week after next and will be showing off their new stuff, to be introduced in 2011.

I couldn't afford to jump up to the Carvex from the Trion due to cashflow issues (bad couple of months!!) and I am glad I didn't as there have been a lot of people having a lot of problems with the Carvex.

From what I have seen Festool wont admit to the issues but their R & D dept are burning the midnight oil to fix the problems.

Hope that when the Carvex arrives in the US it is the "problems solved" model and not old stock of the current model.

Too many people have had issues for it to be an individual "rogue unit".

There have been many threads on it here recently.

These new drills we're looking for do have belt hooks and trigger activated LED's right?  If not then I don't have to pine over them.  I can concetrate on the clamping system and the Carvex.  But if the Carvex does come, then what?  Battery or corded?  What will I do?  I just won't think about that now.  I'll think about that later, because tomorrow is another day.

Yes, the new C12 and C15 drills have a LED light and a belt clip built into the batteries.  The vac clamp is a very slick setup, I hope they make here.  I like the idea of a cordless jigsaw.....
