I recently ordered a new guide rail tote bag and I'm pretty disappointed about how flimsy it is compared to the older style of which I've had one for more than 10 years and it's still in service albeit tattered. the old one had a much more stout bottom end that has to stand up to the rail ends on it when leaning it up against a wall or what not and has much heavier sides on both sides. the new one has a padding only on one side of it and the same padding just rolls up over the bottom. I think the nylon that it's in is more subject to tearing on the rail ends.

Yeah I heard the new one was rubbish. Still got my old one but it's looking old, needs a lot of stitching etc.

I was thinking that if Festool makes a tote bag that can carry two 1400mm rails, why not add a short pocket with elastic loops that can contain the rail connector bars and perhaps a wrench for the screws that tighten them in place. And perhaps add another pocket that could be expandable to contain the Betterley Straight Line Connector.

Likewise, totally disappointed in the rail bag for all the money it cost. The FSK bags are great and I was dumbfounded when I saw the difference. I'm probably going to source some nylon liner and thicker padding and modify mine but I sure as hell shouldn't have to.
