We are excited to announce new additions to our SYS-FIT and SYS-ORG product lines.

But we seeing as we are new here, let us first introduce ourselves we are a small batch manufacturing and prototyping company based in Atlanta GA that has started producing Festool and Systainer related accessories and fitouts.  I am a huge fan of Systainers and actively use them for our lean manufacturing principles in the shop.  In the process of adopting them, both as our primary small parts organization system using the Sys3 Organizers and for fast access tool storage we started designing and producing our own customized bin sizes and tool holding inserts to find efficiencies off the shelf options just didn’t offer.

That’s a long way to say, we’ve built something we love and use and decided we wanted to see if there was a market for it in the wider world…. And here we are.

SYS-FIT Products

DSC00298.jpeg

We’ve added to our SYS-FIT product line with the launch of several tool rack accessories.  Each one of the accessories are designed with a flexible mounting system that adapts to the users job site or shop, regardless of the task at hand.  With their SYS-PLATE system, there are attachments for mounting directly to a Systainer3, an MFT/3, 15-Series Aluminum Extrusion, or a French Cleat wall… Are you wandering the wilderness without a Systainer, an MFT, a workbench constructed out of 15-series aluminum extrusion or haven't gone down the french cleat rabbit hole???  Well then no SYS-PLATE purchase is necessary, simply take our SYS-FIT products and screw them to whatever surface you fancy.

Rack solutions are available for most 125mm (5”) and 150mm (6”) random orbit sanders, as well as a 90mm (3.5”) option for the Festool ROTEX RO90.  In addition to sanders, there are racks for various MFT/Guide Rail Clamps, Festool MFT Elements, Hose & Cord Hanger, Rail Square Hanger and more.

SYS-GRD Launch

We’ve extended their storage and organizational offerings with launch of their SYS-GRD system.  Have you been frustrated that the traditional SYS-Sort and SYS-Combi used a different bin system? Well the frustration is over, our SYS-GRD for the SYS-Sort and SYS-Combi can accommodate both the Systainer3 Org bins and more importantly our SYS-ORG bins.

Don’t have a SYS-Sort or SYS-Combi to organize your nuts, bolts, parts, pieces and other assorted bits and bobs?  Now you can extend the Systainer3 Org or our SYS-ORG system to other drawers, containers, boxes, chest, crates, cases, caddies, trunks or lockers with our SYS-GRD grid system. No more living 'off-grid' and having bins sliding all over the place, no more opening a drawer expecting to see an organizational nirvana only to find complete chaos.

Welcome to the FOG! Nice to see some clever products.

I am particularly interested in the sander holders but would prefer the black color or the midnight blue Festool uses.

To many people the electric green color signifies Festool but within the Festool design program that green is reserved for things that change the open of the tool, like power switches and depth adjusters.

But don’t worry, a lot of people will prefer the green, I’m just a curmudgeon.

Very cool stuff. Would you be able to post pictures/renderings of what exactly the sys-fit and sys-plate components look like? I probably am looking to mount to some 15 series profile but don't quite understand how they attach without pictures.

You offer a very nice selection of items, however I agree with navalinski that some better descriptions/photos/dimensions are needed.

For instance, the Systainer3 mount screws to the Systainer while the French Cleat Mount screws to a piece of ply. Is there any difference between the 2 mounting methods?

For the MRC Rack, is there a difference in the amount of clamps that the Minimus holds vs the Maximus version? What's the difference between the two?

For the HCH Rack, there appears to be a diameter difference between the Minimus & the Maximus but what is that difference? How much more space will I need to accommodate the Maximus version?

For the RSH System, I can see myself purchasing several of those items.  [smile]  Have you tried using these with Woodpecker squares or a Starrett combination square? If so are there photos available?

I will be ordering the Grabo insert later in the day.

And  [welcome] to the FOG.  [big grin]

Gents to answer your questions....

We offer Festool Blue for the sander racks (second one in line in the primary product photo), not to be confused for Special Edition Sapphire Blue!  And you aren't a curmudgeon to like the Festool Blue over the Festool Green... Technically the Germans would probably yell at most of the folks producing non-control items in green, like you said green is the go button... But we gotta address the market [tongue].

Thanks for the feedback, we forgot the SYS-PLATE photos in our push to get the site updated yesterday...  [eek] This has been corrected, we apologize for the oversight.  We also added some videos based on the feedback from you guys in to clarify how things function.  So hopefully those help on the explaining the Systainer mount and French Cleat mount

Minimus and Maximus are just on SYS-PLATEs... There are now a couple of videos showing them in use now on the product page.  And you are right we probably need to polish the copy a bit more... But in short, the Minimus plates just slide into in the bottom profile, Maximus plates use both profiles to provide a more robust base to minimize flex and deflection.

I re-read the copy and could see how it's a bit confusing.  We've updated it on all the product pages to try to make it less confusing

--NEW COPY--

The available SYS-PLATE Mounting Options must be purchased separately and are listed below:

SYS-PLATE - Systainer3 Mount
SYS-PLATE - MFT Minimus Mount
SYS-PLATE - MFT Maximus Mount
SYS-PLATE - 15-Series Minimus Mount
SYS-PLATE - 15-Series Maximus Mount
SYS-PLATE - French Cleat Mount

-- END COPY --

Let me know if that helps clear it up.

The MRC Rack only comes in one flavor (at the moment) and holds three (3) MFT / Guide Rail style clamps.  We have updated the copy to clarify that on the product page, as well as added the SYS-PLATE copy above.

The HCH Rack only comes in one flavor.  We have updated the copy by adding the SYS-PLATE copy above.

On the RSH Rack we have SEVERAL similar products that we are working on, as we do love hanging stuff from places...  Nothing to announce yet, but lots of things on the drawing boards.

We probably released a few too many things at once this go around, but our plan is to have product drops once a month in varying number of products depending on the complexity of said products.  Our Grabo release last month was a culmination of lots R&D, material testing, QA and production testing which resulted on only a single product getting launched.  We have client batch and prototyping products running in parallel with our own product development for the store, so it is a constant struggle to find the balance of man time, machine time, design time, work shop time, fun shop time, play time, family time, sleepy time, admin time, etc, etc, etc.

Thanks for all the questions and feel free to ask us anything, we are eager to get community feedback to improve our products and make things folks want to use.

While the products look nice, I’ve seen better prices on Etsy. For instance, the 5” orbital sander holder can be had for ~$22 on Etsy from the RAB store (versus $30) and you don’t have to then also pay for a separate mounting solution (as per the product description this is a must and costs $xx more- ($xx because I stopped looking when I was turned off that $30 doesn’t get me the Systainer mount)). Maybe this is just a matter of the provide descriptions being unclear as previous noted by other commenters.

Good luck to you.

Thanks for the feedback.  We purposefully split out the mounting plates (SYS-PLATES) so the customer has the choice on what particular mount they would like to use.... Or in case they want to have more than one mounting option depending on if they are in the shop or on a job site.  We are sorry this caused frustration and led to us not earning your business, but hopefully the discount code below will change that.

FOG Discount Code - sysplate4FOG_0224

SYS-PLATE for FOG Members

Anyone using this code or link will get a free SYS-PLATE with purchase of a SYS-FIT ROS Rack.  Have three sanders?  With each ROS Rack purchased you will get a free SYS-PLATE of your choice* for up to three sanders.  Mix and match the sander sizes and mix and match the SYS-PLATE mounts.  We will let this code run for the next 30 days, so we hope this helps the community and address the concerns.

*SYS-PLATE Maximus series mounts excluded

I commend your response and offer- but I think you’ve missed the intention of my post- which looking back is probably my fault. Said simply- the product prices are not competitive and coupon for 1 doesn’t change that the product costs are 33% higher (when adding in the cost of the additional mounts required for of the products on the site) than other available options. So sure for 1 item, it’s reduced to 25%, but the fundamental cost difference remains.

I mean given this is the FOG a premium should be expected but at least Festool gave us this forum and Sedge for those premiums.
