New sys roll

So do they come in systainers in the UK or is that your addition?
Also, friends of mine here are moaning that their stuff is no longer made in Europe but in China. Have you noticed any problems in quality? (this is being typed on a chinese built ipad which seems to be excellent quality to me)

I put them in the systainers, they come in the standard plastic carry cases.. There is absolutly no problems with the quality of the tools, they get battered about every day.. One of my workmates borrowed my sds drill the other day and managed to drill straight through the mains power cable coming in to the house with it..... very entertaining sparks and a big flash, but at least my drill was okay  [big grin]
Posted on my iMac built in China  [smile]

John,
Where did you get the systainers? I'm after some more, but after Bunny's Bolts and Slingers specials earlier on I can't see any good deals

Hi All! I just bought one of those sys rolls this morning and have been using it all day its been amazing so far, ive uploaded some videos onto youtube parts 1/2 and 3 so you can get an idea about how it works inside and out in the field..on the job in the hood so to speak [big grin]            Enjoy!  regards John

I think this thread needs to be locked! [mad] I don't think its very fair to be tormented by the northern hermisphere members with something that we want but can't have :'(

Can you open the top T-lock while its stacked on the sys roll?!?!

JMB

yeah, you can.

some observations after using one in the field for this month:

it eats up a lot more room standing upright in my work van
than systainers on a rolling tray. everything went from
fitting snugly, to not fitting well at all.

the bottom systainer DOES NOT lock into the base. lifting
it into and out of the van causes the stack of systainers
to become dislodged unless you grab the base and a side
rail, picking it up from the side. visualize a monkey having
sex with a football. you get the idea.

it goes up and down stairs, and navigates rough surfaces
better than a systainer caddy does. no shock there. those
don't navigate ANYTHING bumpier than a billiard table well.

all in all, yeah, i'm keeping it, but there are some things
they could have done quite a bit better... locking the
bottom systainer into this being first and foremost.

I agree. the bottom case should and needs to lock into place. seems like this was a big miss. also something to keep the straps from popping out the top would be nice too. I ordered an additional track nut to put a stop at the very top

What are the holes in the sliding grey plastic parts (#10003090) that hold the straps for?
