new T-Loc Systainers on youtube

I found one of these to go along with the manual and 1+2 subscription when I opened my last purchase, a Domino, and was happily surprised. I had to fill in and mail a form to pre-order one of these. I can't remember if they even stated the size... I wonder what will happen if you put the new T-loc systainer underneath any of the already excisting systainers, it looks like you can't connect the top of the new ones to the bottom of the old.

This point was discussed on another thread.  It looks like this is correct, and that while you will be able to latch the new T-Loc Systainer to the top of the current Systainer or Sortainer, you will not be able to latch these current containers on top of the new T-Loc Systainers.

We do need some more information on what we can expect.  Sortainers?  Minis?  Maxis?  Then there's the question of how much room this takes from the inside of the Systiners...  It sure looks to me that this will affect how the Sortainers are designed, as the new latch looks as if it will interfere with the area for the top drawers.  Then, what about the attic lids?  Yep, too many questions on how this will affect our stacks of tools and accessories.

Accessory carry handles to allow for carrying of the systainer from the front, similar to the style that you would carry a brief case!  These are a long awaited addition to the family lineup of systainers.

Chris, it'll be side by side to start.  Not sure about 100% replacement.

Chris, to follow up with more detailed info: the two lines, t-loc and classic, will be sold side by side for the time being.  There are no plans to discontinue the classic style systainers.

The new T-Loc's will fit on top of all, not beneath, old classic systainers aside from the maxi.  You first would have to put a classic style on the maxi and then a T-Loc.

Only systainer sizes I - V are scheduled for production in T-Loc format.  No sortainers, minis or maxi's are planned as of yet.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say.  I assume that the new T-Locs will fit on top of the old classic Systainer I - iV models and the Sortainers, but, as I understand, the classic Systainer I - IV and Sortainers will not latch onto the top of the new T-Locs.  Is this correct?

The new models will latch on top of the existing systainers and sortainers.

Old systainers and sortainers will not lock on top of the new.

New models will not lock on top of a Maxi systainer.

If you have a Maxi systainer and want to create a stack including a new model systainer , you will need to attach an old style systainer or sortainer as an adapter on top of the maxi and then put the new model on top of that one.

This week Festool Germany announced the following T-Loc systainers:
SYS 1 TL-DF, SYS 2 TL-DF, SYS 3 TL-DF
SYS 4 TL, SYS 5 TL
Some did doubt if the SYS 4 & 5 models would ever be released because of the weight of these systainers that had to be locked with the front knob. They also announced the replacement serial numbers of all the machines to T-Loc systainers. (Classic > T-Loc conversion)
