Hey guys,

I have a chance to grab a new T15 complete kit + SysBox 1 for $300 or a used C18 complete (plus drywall chuck, whatever that is) but with only 1 battery (it's ok, I have 6) for $220.

This will be an all purpose drill for me -- from hole saws and hanging drywall to my wife driving a screw.

Which would you choose?

Thanks!!

I really prefer the T model over the C model but I also like 18v over 15v.

I got me the T15 but I already have it for 10 years now, so it's a pretty old model. Festool doesn't sell the 15v line anymore and went with 18v instead.

I'd let both deals go and find me a T18 .

Do both have all the chucks? Right angle and eccentric?

Seems like you might want the drywall chuck if you are planning to hang drywall.

I got tired of the incompatible battery platforms and standardized on the 18v.  The one upside to the 18v is the compact 3.1ah battery, which I leave on the drill most of the time.  The lighter weight is often preferable to the added capacity in the larger batteries.  With 15v, you only have the option to use the larger batteries.

I like the C style drills. It seems you can use them out of position easier.
I have C15 I use the most then I bought a T 18. Later purchase the PDC 18 which is my second most used drill.
Hope this help..
Rick.
