new Tanos T-loc Sortainer and Combi systainers

Bummer.  Looks like the NA pricing is nearly exactly the same as euro-pricing + over seas shipping on eBay.  Guess there was no need to wait after all.

Maybe I don't really need them all that bad.

Actually the SYS 4 SORT/3 is cheaper (including shipping) from UK  Amazon. I was thinking about getting 4 and they would be $117.75 each, $471 total.

Are you able to order them from Amazon UK?  After attempting to order the Plug-it's from Amazon UK and getting rejected I never really tried to do so with anything else.  I'll go give it a shot now (for fun).

Yes, I can order from Amazon UK. Some sellers will not ship to the US and not all of Festool offerings are available to ship to the US. I have purchased TS75 mobiles for the CMS, router bit set, ratchet set and a few other things.

So far I have only ordered NAINA items from Amazon. I said that I was "thinking" about getting some, and actually that was before they were announced as being available in the US. The bad thing about ordering from outside of the US is that you would have no support if it was needed. Almost all of my Festool orders have been through online dealers that are active here on the FOG.  [thumbs up]

Hmm, just looking at that Tanos PDF again. It looks like the main dividers (front-to-back) in the drawers are permanently fixed. [sad]

That severely limits what can be put in them, I guess. I was thinking of getting one of the sys3-sized combos for my SDS drill - drill in the top, drill bits in the drawer. But any drill bits longer than around 250mm/10" won't fit in the drawer...

Edit: Maybe ignore the above? Just noticed it lists the 'separating webs' as coming with the systainer. Can't see why they'd list them as 'coming with' if they were permanent. But they're present, in the same position, in every picture. Can anyone clarify this?

The webs are movable within the drawer based grid in the floor of the drawer.
Tanos Sys-Combi II, Sys-Combi III and Sys-SORT IV/3 are available through Woodcraft.

I saw that the part above the drawer is smooth. That is good. (Thanks for the detailed photo.)

I would like to know if it is tight enough to keep parts from changing sections, for example when tilting a sysroll, or even laying it down in the back of a truck.

Also, are the bins for the drawers the same height as the sys 1 bins?

I bought one sortainer and never used it because things got stuck whenever I moved it. I had to change to a rack-tainer.

Great thread!

I don't know about that, but the bins for the Sys-storage work, and you can buy the medium or large bins instead of just the small/medium that are marketed for the sortainer 4.
