Hi,

My name is Jason.  I am from Victoria, Australia.

Just picked up a TS55 Cirular saw, 2 x 1400 mm guide rails, suction caps to suit guide rail, cooltainer.

Recon the cooltainer will be useful to keep batteries cool in Summer.  Hot weather doesnt seem to do much for NiCads.  Upgraded to LiIon this year, am hoping to get better life from them in the heat.  Outside temps can get to 40 deg C in these parts.  Failing that it might come in handy for keeping the beer cold.

During the week I work at a place that manufactures canvas products.  Most of my work time involves fitting household blinds, light engineering work and making up canper trailer tops using formply.

Weekends are usually spent doing renovation work.

Wellcome to the forum Jason!

Be carefull not to leave those Li ion batteries in the sun, they don't take it well.

Hi Jason. Did I talk to you at the Timber and Working with Wood show? Welcome to the forum. :D

Yeah I did Eli.  Never even gave Festool a thought before I went to the show.  Havent seen tradies out there using this setup.

I guess am like most people, have an idea of what I need, but try not to impluse buy.  Initially was looking at a Metabo (or equivalent) site saw.  Had to seriously think it through before I was convinced the Festool setup was suitable for my needs.  The portability, weight factor were a big plus, as it will spend a lotta time being transported in the ute.  The Cooltainer is a gunna get a workout.

Spend quite a bit a time at work being a sales person.  Some folks are convinced on the spot.  Usually u can tell they have done lots of research before even speaking to u.  Others are still looking at their other options.  Maybe u will see em again, maybe not.  Hey that's sales for u.

Welcome to the forum Jason. I've never seen a cooltainer in North America.

Cool scooter Steve-CO      Given the current popularity of motorised scooters here in OZ recon I would fit right in with that.  Maybe I could substitute the cooler trailer with a pull along golf buggy.  Really upset the establishment at the local golf course.  Cant hit a ball straight to save myself, so I might as well make a statement around the greens. :) ;D

Nuthin special about cooltainer Dan, just a Systainer with some polystyrene inserts.  Hopefully fotos work.
