With yet another two screwclamps that almost nobody wants, lol.

Also; how on earth does this need a Sys3 M 137 ???  [huh] I'd say this fits perfectly fine in a M 112 (Systainer-I size)

This looks a lot like this kit 497657. Except no splitter guide and angle gauge is updated.

Correct, it's an updated version of the FS/2 Guide Rail Accessory Kit.

My question is will they also update the MFT/3 Set to include these upgraded accessories, or stick with what they have right now?  Based on the price increases on the tools for later this year, I have a bad feeling the MFT/3 with these upgrades will jump from $735 to $750 or even $775.

The MFT set (#201311) was always a limited edition, released twice, right?

Yes, updated version, but the original included a 1400mm spare splinter strip and enough free space for a lot od extra stuff. I had the jigsaw guiderail adapter plate in it, a Toolie and two 300mm clamps.

And all in 25mm less wasted space.

Yeah, the screw clamps are already in the original FS-SYS/2 set, the LR-32 set and also Bessey's MFT clamp set. Festool had the rapid clamps in the limited edition #201311

But now also in this #577131;

[member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] - any insight into 577131 SYS-MFT Fixing-Set SYS3 M 112 MFT-FX ?

[member=20971]elfick[/member] Funny, I just had an email inquiry about this item from [member=9489]ADKMedic[/member].

Germany manages the Festool USA website and I think this is a mistake. This product is not currently being offered in the U.S. market and there's no indication that it will be at this time. Let me ping the guys over at FUSA and see what they say. I'll update you guys tomorrow when they're back in the office.

ETA - The same is true with all of the items in this thread. No announcement at this time that these will be offered in the U.S.

Thanks,
Shane

Thanks Shane! Really appreciate you looking into it. You rock!

Hey Shane, this is directly from the Festool USA web site.

Festool United States>Products>New Tools>New Tools>SYS-MFT Fixing-Set SYS3 M 112 MFT-FX
https://www.festoolusa.com/products/new-tools/new-tools/577131---sys3-m-112-mft-fx#Overview

As Shane mentioned, der Fatherland manages the FUSA website instead of FUSA staff.  I personally harbor no illusions that this set will actually be released in the United States.  Frankly, any time I see a blue Systainer offering, I immediately write it off as "not coming to the USA" (Emerald Edition excepted since that was literally a USA Emerald Anniversary).

If it is released, it will be a "limited edition" that will sell out immediately at the major online retailers, be listed for 50% over MSRP on eBay, and 10% of the nation's stock will be found collecting dust 3 years from now in the back storage room of retailers like Acme Tools, and AmazonUK and Amazon.de will refuse to ship it overseas at any price.

I think the MFT accessory set will eventually see the update, but possibly not until 2023 or 2024 when they update the MFT/3 Set and bump the price to $800.

Well, here's hoping that you and Shane are both wrong.  [smile]  [poke]

No UL approvals needed here.  [tongue]

[member=20971]elfick[/member] [member=9489]ADKMedic[/member] I received confirmation from FUSA this morning that the listing of this product on the festoolusa.com website was in error. This product is not available in the U.S. at this time, and no according to them "no plans" at this time for it to be released in the U.S. market. Sorry for the bad news.

[member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] That's a bummer but unfortunately not really surprising. Thanks for checking on it for us!

Looks like it's finally released in NA.

What is the real benefit of this set?
- the adjustable square is night/day compared to the previosu one (this is a replacement, old version is EOL)
- the self-aligning rail connectors are, well, self-aligning (this can be a replacement, old version is expected to be EOL soon)
- the hose/cable protector is -finally- adjusted to with well with the FS/2 rails (this is a replacement, old version is EOL)
- the clamps and the rail stop are as before

The biggest change is the FS-WA and the new rail connector set. Rest is same or cosmetics.
