Any word/rumours on when/if the 4.0Ah battery will be available in North America?

While it's very likely that we will get the 4.0Ah battery, no official word yet. Generally, NA gets new products around 6-12 months after Europe.

Do you mean being able to purchase it individually? Because it looks like N.A. should be getting a couple sets with the 4.0 Ah batteries included by next month.https://www.festool.com/products/dr...ng/cordless-impact-drill/576482---tid-18-hpc4,0-i-plus#Overview

Welcome to the forum, [member=72555]azaffer[/member]. The festool.com is an international website and has plenty of products that are currently not available in North America and some that will never appear in North America. There are currently no indications from Festool USA, including on festoolusa.com, that the introduction of these batteries is imminent. However, that can change at any time.

Like I said, I would expect we see them this year, but the question is when.

Thanks Shane. Did not realize it was an international site, especially given existing country-specific domains (.de, .co.uk, etc.).

Looks like it’s finally coming to the US! Shane do you have any pricing info on the sets and kits?

I didn't investigate this tool because I figured it would be at least a year before it got to the US, but has there been any discussion about why the TID is better than other brands' impact drivers? (Other than it is Festool and uses the same batteries). In particular, I'm curious about how loud it is compared to other impacts, specifically the "Surge" type hydraulic impacts. Thanks!

Dumb question, but will my c18 battery fit the new T18.

[member=60525]NChander[/member]

Yes, all flat pack 18v Festool batteries are interchangeable and compatible with all 18v Festool cordless tools.

The exception is the special batteries for the cordless sanders, which are not "flat pack" batteries.

Hey Shane, I was about to order the 4 piece Pro finish kit. Are you guys still on track to ship 7/1?

[member=72555]azaffer[/member] Festool has not communicated any delays at this time, so the ship date is still 7/1.
