don't have the Jessum but the original Dowelmax.  If the Jessum works anything like the Dowelmax, you will love it.  The Dowelmax is very accurate.  Not as fast as the Domino but at 1/3 the cost, and if you are an occasional doweller, so to speak, it will do the job.

Just curious, where did you buy the Jessem dowel jig?  It seems they are only available direct from Jessem.  That makes me suspect something's not right with the product.  I know it has gotten excellent reviews as of probably one year ago, but I haven't seen much on the web since.  I like the looks of it and the price compared to Dowelmax.  Have you gotten it yet?

By the way, I have the Makita 118" rail that I use with my Makita SP6000k saw.  Both the saw and the rail are top notch.
