New Transit fit out

The shelf pins have a flat which you can use for a small adjustment or remove when you get T locks. My shelfs are solid at front, but I use pins at the rear to keep the Systainer from sliding back.
Good idea mate

Eventually got some time to start the racking out here's a couple of pics of where I got to today, also routed out all the feet holes all the shelves so another half a day should finish off the sys racking on that side of the van
Is that a power inverter in the lower right corner of this photo?
If it's the yellow 'cube' with the St Georges flag sticker on it, then it is a UK 110V site transformer that steps down so you can use 110V tools on a standard uk 230V supply.

Having acquired a few more systainers  [big grin] I decided to rack out the other side of my van with space to accommodate 1x sys5 and 7x sys4 or combo of other sys locked together not quite finished but ran out of time today, on top of this rack I will be adding an upstanding all the way round to store my UG wings and mitre saw stand and maybe a few other things here's a couple of pics to show where I'm at now[attachimg=1][attachimg=2]

van racking looks good.  did you cnc the shelves to accept the systainer feet?
thanks

Hi Griz thanks mate, no I don't have access to a cnc I just made a jig out of 12mm plywood and used a router with a top bearing profile cutter to from the cut outs. Its fairly easy to to make a jig but a cnc would save a lot of time lol

Beautiful  and functional. Seems to be very well thought out.
I was determined to do this to the van i drive often since last year but never got around to it.  Few weeks ago i picked up another sprinter 170WB EXT high roof and am determined to get it done before putting it in service.
Here is where i started.

Shelving is only screwed in the front so i can decide if i want a slight tilt back or not

Your set up looks great and i may steal a few ideas :)

[member=59319]KescoNY[/member]  smart looking upfit in your Transit. what kind of work do you do  in terms of the type of tools you need to carry? We are working on modular upfit solutions for a Sprinter 170WB Hi Roof right now and a Transit 150 next. Our aim is to be able to offer CNC cut components which can ship flat and provide a modest cost solution for mobile Pro s which can easily be modified or expanded later on.
It doesn't make $en$e to us that a Pro should develop his own unique one-off solution and expect that to be the most profitable way to go.
We are looking around for Van owners who are concerned with these issues to share insights and and work on shared solutions.

Im a general contractor specializing in finish carpentry.  On average i carry between 24-26 sustainers, 20+ organizers similar to the ones pictured, miter and table saw.
I can see a larger demand for some cnc cut racking options since almost everyone i know has built there own version of racking because there is nothing currently offered for remodelers/carpenters that is efficient. Most racking is geared towards HVAC/electrician/plumbers

Emailed you as well

Looking good so far kescoNY post some pics when you get it finished. I'v added a bit more to mine i'll get some upto date pics on tomorrow
