TS 55 REQ Plunge Cut Saw – The new standard for portable circular saws

Photo

The TS 55 REQ is our most advanced plunge-cut saw ever—and that’s saying a lot.

The all-new TS 55 REQ is not your standard circular saw. With its accuracy and versatility, it should be compared to the most advanced table saws, miter saws, or panel saws available. Incredible portability and unbelievable ease of use deliver precision cutting like nothing else — equally at home in high-end cabinet shops as in the most challenging onsite remodel. Packed with all the time-saving features you’ve come to expect from a Festool TS Saw, the new TS 55 REQ features a flat housing for flush-cutting against walls or adjacent surfaces, micro-adjustable depth controls, plus a host of other time-saving enhancements.

Guide Rail Precision - With the FS Guide Rail System, you’ll get laser-straight, splinter-free cuts in seconds. Simply lay the Guide Rail between two points, and you have your cut line. It’s really that easy.

Splinter-free - Cutting Splinterguards on both sides of the blade ensure that you’ll make zero-tearout cuts in virtually any material, improving your quality of work while significantly reducing material waste.

Take the tool to the work - Replace large stationary equipment with an incredibly precise, handheld unit. You’ll save your back, while getting more out of your expensive materials.

Hi,

Is the sys-cart $85 (your post) or $96?

I've been waiting for this for a while, tried to get my Dad to bring one over from the UK but he said it was too big for the suitcase. I told him to stick the suitcase on it and wheel it but he still said no!

Richard, it's $85.00.

Are there any plans to sell the ts55r as a tool only with no guide rail.  I already have three 55" guide rails and that would keep me from upgrading because I wouldn't want to deal with shipping it out if I couldn't find a local buyer.

That's US pricing, Richard.

Canadian pricing...

Sys-Roll
$197.00

Sys-Toolbox
$55.00

Sys-Cart (Updated)
$96.00

TS 55 REQ
$660.00

No plans. I'm sure you could find someone here that would take it off your hands in the classifieds at near-full-price.

Can we pre order the saw?

Glad you brought that up. Yes, I will have that ability up on my website soon, but remember, pre-ordering today, tomorrow or next week, gets you in the line, but will  not get the saw or anything to you one day sooner. In this case, MAY 1.

What's the difference between the eq and the req?  Guess I'll have to wail until Connect

What are the specific differences in the 2 saws? Is the power and depth of cut the same?

Frodo - the R has an inscription on the inside that only shows in the fi...uh, nevermind..... ;)

The R is more flush on the right side so you can cut closer to a wall (such as when laying flooring). There may be other differences, but I don't recall just now....
