new TSV 60 scoring saw is cutting off the edge of a new rail, about 3 mm to the right of my other saws. Is this normal?

If the main blade sat on the splinter guard like your other saws, the scoring blade would chew up the splinter guard.

The scoring blade has trapezium teeth, you need to set up the depth and offset to get the results you want. Somewhere on here I wrote a guide to how I set up mine.

If I read your post correctly, your new saw kerf does not match those of your other Festool saws? If so, and if that is important to you, then you would need to adjust them all to match. When I was considering the TSV I contacted on eo the Festool trainers with the question about getting all the kerfs to match and I was told at the time that although it would be possible, they would suggest having a separate rail set for the TSV.

I never bought the TSV so I didn't go further.

I understand that this saw is different than a standard Festool track saw but it was off, so I took the saw back to the supplier and we checked it to another unit. it was completely different so they replaced it and will send it back to Festool. the main blade would not trim or touch the splinter guard on a new track. The replacement unit is working as it should, and I am very happy with the saw and the supplier for their great service. Thank you for your input.
