Hi all,

I added two new tutorials to my web site yesterday that may be of interest.  One discusses the building of a Kapex work center and the other setting up a drill press center using the new design Delta 20" VS drill press and the MFT3/Kapex table.  Both are available for free download from my web sitehttp://jerrywork.com.  From the home page click on "tutorials", then scroll through the list.  Click on either the picture or the description.

I am experimenting with different levels of compression for these downloadable .pdf files so the tutorials are at all different levels of compression.  The more they are compressed the smaller the .pdf file and the faster it downloads, but the image quality suffers accordingly.  The less compression, the larger the files, the longer the download and the better the image quality.  Let me know your preference.  Thanks.

Jerry

I tried to open the file and got a "file does not exist" error from Adobe.

Any ideas on how to open the file?

Tom.

Excellent writeups, Jerry -

Thank you for taking the time to develop and post them.

Hi Tom,

They should open just by clicking on either the picture or the description text.  If they don't on your machine, check the preference settings on your browser and check to make sure you have a current or at least recent version of the free Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your machine.  They open fine here on both Macs and Windows PCs.

You do some beautiful work Jerry. I like the drill press table set up too. I wish I had more room for a Kapex table system as well.

Real nice shop!  Your budget for tools far exceeds mine and I'm quite jelous.  Seriously nice Kapex set up.  I had no problem with the link at all.  You could offer two versions one for low bandwidth and one for high.

Greetings from Down Under, Down Under

Jerry I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your manuals and tutorials  :)I have found them to be informative and extremely helpful. Thanks for being willing to take the time to share your knowledge and thoughts with all and sundry.

Andrew

Jerry,
What Andrew said. I couldn't say it better. I have printed out every tutorial because they are great  reference pieces. And, as always, I love your shop and the thought you have put into it. It must be a joy to work in.

Very nice set-up you have there, I'd like something similar one of these days, when the kids are grown and I have lots more "me" time - right now just not possible.  Nice article, thanks for sharing!

Mike

Jerry, your tutorials are as good or better as most books and I keep them printed and bound in my shop for frequent reference. I can only imagine how much work goes into the photography, writing, editing, and building the pdfs and I want to thank you for this much appreciated effort.

So it was a big disappointment when I tried to read your Kapex workstation tutorial to get a "file damaged...can't be opened" error message from Acrobat.

Hope it's something you fix without too much trouble.

Cheers,

John

Love your workshop Jerry. Hate you, hate you, hate you ... not really - just very jealous.

Kev.
