New Work Shop

Just as Richard stated property tax wise the shed can not be Permanently attached to the ground, footings, foundations type of structure. This way I meet the local code as a shed and not a permanent structure. Our local codes are quite something to contend with. This way there is no property tax increase.
Besides it is only a shed, just one I plan on doing up nicely and spending a lot of time in.

Sal

Hey sal how will you heat it?

Skids  I have a 10,000 BTU Blue Flame Vent Free Propane Gas Heater in the 10 x 20 shed in the new section I will add a second one, although not insulated I normally have to keep the door open partially because it get that warm in there. I only heat when I am in the shop working so.....

The biggest problem is actually condensation on my machine as the shop cools down at the end of the day, that's why I cover every piece with a terry cloth beach towel when not in use.
This has solved that problem for me on all my steel top machines, also I Boeshield them about every 2 weeks when they are not in use

Great 'shed'. Looking forward to photographs of the inside.

The shed I keep our ride on and other garden machinery in is 9.8 square metres. If it was 10 sq metres I would have needed a local government building permit and a building inspection.

I think I would live in a big shed then that was not permanently attached !

I am tired of taxes !

Looking good Sal.

And the project moves on, slow and steady, been to hot for doing the roof shingles for sure

I am going to do one wall with shelving and sliding drawers for my systainers and other tool cases

Wow that's a lot of grey/green plastic boxes... [eek]

We are just finishing up some Sandy-related repairs around here, feeling pretty good, and someone casually mentions how it was approaching hurricane season.

Looking good Sal!

Richard.  The scary thing is I have not been in the shop for quite some time and when I started to move things I stood back and said to myself, holy cow that's a lot of Festool

I need to build that wall unit on the back wall so I can arrange all I have

Slow but Sure

Richard. Getting there every day

Sal, Where did you buy your T wall straps? I'm looking for a better buy. I know conduit vault supply companies sell them but some only ship by the full box. Thanks, MARK
